As a result of this lesson, students will be able to:
Interpret at least 2 primary sources and 2 secondary sources to give a description about the role of women
and children during the Australia Gold-Rush of the 1850s.
Use iMovie to present a description of at least 2 primary sources and 2 secondary sources individually.

Motivation and Introduction:


1. The teacher informs the students on the plan for todays lesson
Today we will be continuing on with our Gold Rush Webquest, students who
are due to complete the Women & Children lesson will find this lesson as the
fourth option underneath the Goldrush Adventures tab.

1. Students log on to their devices
2. Students type in the web address for the WebQuest written on the

4. Students are to read the goals of the lesson so that they are aware of
what they should achieve by the end of the lesson.
5. Students are to create a wordle to express their prior knowledge

6. Students are to look at the four sources presented on the Web Quest
and determine which sources are primary sources and which sources

experience the Women & Children had during the Goldfields and how


the source helps us to understand this.

description over each photo using the voice record tool.
9. Students to import their wordle and embed their iMovie into the book

1. Once students have completed their work in the book creator app and

game Strike it rich! in the character of the Women.

Students are to return to their seats and await further teacher

The lesson objectives have been met throughout the ICT tools
integrated in each of the Web Quest activities.

Students achievement of the outcomes will be assessed according to


the assessment guides of ACHASSI098, ACHASSI099 and
ACHASSI105.
