As a result of this lesson, students will be able to:
Interpret at least 2 primary sources and 2 secondary sources to give a description about the role of women
and children during the Australia Gold-Rush of the 1850s.
Use iMovie to present a description of at least 2 primary sources and 2 secondary sources individually.

3. The students one member from each group of 4 is to complete this
Women & Children Gold rush experience lesson.
4. Students are to read the goals of the lesson so that they are aware of
what they should achieve by the end of the lesson.
5. Students are to create a wordle to express their prior knowledge

exploring the role and the impact of Women & Children during the
Gold Rush.
6. Students are to look at the four sources presented on the Web Quest
and determine which sources are primary sources and which sources
and secondary.
7. Students are to then research the pictures or topic pictures and
create description explaining each of the sources. This description
iMovie
should include the time and place in history, relevant events, the
experience the Women & Children had during the Goldfields and how
the source helps us to understand this.
8. Students are to then import the images into iMovie and record their
description over each photo using the voice record tool.
9. Students to import their wordle and embed their iMovie into the book

the tasks listed on the WebQuest, they are then to play the interactive
game Strike it rich! in the character of the Women.
