CNC SIMULATION
SOFTWARE
INTRODUCTION
This CNC simulation software enables the teacher to choose
both FANUC and SIEMENS (M and T) CNC simulations.
SIM-CNC/EV
INTRODUCTION TO CNC
MACHINING SYSTEMS
PARTS OF A MACHINING SYSTEMS:
When designing a mechanical piece, generally designers use
a Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing
(CAD/CAM) program to realize the software.
The output of this software (including a part in G code) is sent
to the controller of the Machine Tool (CNC).
The CNC will interpret and convert the source program into
machine language (CAM) so that the Machine Tool can perform
the demanded operations correctly. As the commands of a
G code program can need some complex and coordinated
movements of axes, the machine CNC must be able to execute
a certain number of calculations in real time (for instance,
cutting a propeller needs a series of trigonometric calculations).
This is the reason why historically this type of machines has
become rather expensive.
Software SIM-CNC/EV will replace the industrial CNC and
enables the user to operate simulating both FANUC and
SINUMERIK SIEMENS CNC systems.
NETWORK FEATURES
OF SOFTWARE SIM-CNC/EV
Software SIM-CNC/EV can be networked inside a laboratory.
That enables the teacher to use all the typical functions of
an educational network and moreover one of the PCs of this
network can control the machine tools on line and receive the
programs for machining the pieces sent by the other PCs.
SOFTWARE FEATURES
SIM-CNC/EV is a very flexible software, designed for the control
of machine tools such as mills, machining centres, lathes. Its
main features are:
ISO-DIN standard programming language
Manageable axes: 2 + spindle (for Lathe) and 3 + spindle (for
Milling machine or Machining centre)
Linear interpolation
Clockwise and counter-clockwise circular interpolation
Programming in absolute and incremental coordinates
Programming in polar coordinates
Programming in millimetres or in inches
Parametric programming
Standard and parametric subroutines that can be defined
and retrieved by users
Possibility of skipping or of executing absolute or conditioned
retrievals
