    PROCEDURE FOR TRANSMITING

    DESIGNATED VHF DSC DISTRESS ALERT


    FROM FURUNO (MODEL FM-2721):-

    1. Press CALL key to show the call type menu.


    2. Scroll down to DISTRESS CALL and press ENTER
    3. Select the nature of distress from the menu and
    press ENTER
    4. On pressing ENTER a designated distress alert is
    transmitted.
    5. CH.70 is selected automatically, wait for
    acknowledgment of the distress call from a coast
    station.
