MY ATM CARD (Available Test and Measures)

Name of FS Student: Dagohoy, Marc Steven G.
Course: Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics Year & Section: 3-1
Cooperating School: General Tiburcio De Leon National High School

Your Target
At the end of this activity, you will be adept in designing, using and
interpreting results of objective test .

Your Map
Designing and using assessment tools sounds interesting especially if you know their
curricular intensions. Take calculated strides in pursuing this interesting task through these
stages.
Step 5: Analyze and interpret the
data obtained from it focusing on
target competency.
Step 4: Conduct the pen-and-paper test
in a class
Step 3: Make a table of specification and
construct pen-and-paper test items on the
subject observed.
Step 2: Study the teachers objectives of the
lesson: Observe his/her class, focusing on the
evaluation part of the lesson.
Step 1: Visit a class on a subject area of your choice.

Your Tools
As you visit schools, study the teachers objectives, formulate test items
and interpret results, make a clear documentation of your tasks using the activity
form provided for you in this boo. For your pen-and-paper test items customize a
table of specification, and prepare the test materials based on the prescriptions
of the school where you do the class observation.
INITIAL NOTES

Teachers
Learning
Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, the students shall be able to:

a. Define Statistics
b. Differentiate Qualitative to Quantitative Variables, Nominal to Ordinal and Interval
to Ratio.
c. Show the real life examples of Statistics

Desired conditions and criterion levels of the learning objectives:

The teacher knows first if the students already heard the word Statistics and where
theyve heard it. Then the students give examples where they can apply the Statistics.
Then the teacher gave the example for each category and the students define and
differentiate it. As you can see, the class is student-center. And by giving a paper-pen
test the teacher assessed the students if they learn their discussion for that day.

Other notes:
Teacher must use appropriate methods and strategies for the learners understand more
the lesson. It is good that the teacher let the students work with themselves to see how
and where they can apply the learning theyve acquired during the discussion.

Your Analysis
Do you think the teachers learning objectives was appropriately assessed by
your test items?
Yes, somehow, because the teacher only gives questions about types of variables and
levels of measurement but I think classifying is not enough to understand what the meaning of
statistics is.
Why do you have to study the teachers learning objectives prior to developing
an assessment tool?
The teachers learning objectives is also the flow of his/her discussion. And since
assessment tools are used to make sure that students really understand the concept of the
assessment tools to be used must be connected or appropriate to the teachers learning
objective to get what is the intended learning outcome for the students.

Your Reflection
Write your personal reflection of thoughts and feelings regarding Peace Concept on
Focus. Share your reflection with your FS teacher and classmates.
PEACE CONCEPT ON FOCUS
Learning is the intended outcome for the students and it is most acquired inside the classroom.
Teacher is the most crucial factor that affects the learning but still motivation and environment is
the other factor that affects the learning of the learners. So teacher must provide a conducive
environment which is free from too much noise, dangerous to the learners and the environment
must be comfortable for the learners for them to acquire the learning at its best.

In assessing, teachers cannot achieve the desired learning outcome he/she dont use the
appropriate assessment method for the students. If our assessment is unfair, our evaluation of
students learning is inaccurate, misleading and biased.
