PRISON SERVICE VACANCY
The Barbados Prison Service is seeking young, energetic candidates to fill
the position of Prison Officer.
Applicants must have a minimum of three CXC subjects at Grades one, two
or three, including English Language; excellent interpersonal, analytical
and writing skills; the ability to multi-task, and supervise efficiently.
Candidates should also be proactive, committed, and not afraid to face
challenges.
Each application, accompanied by curriculum vitae, certificates, names and
contact information of two referees and one passport-sized photograph,
should be sent to The Personnel Officer, The Barbados Prison Service, Her

CHILD CARE BOARD REMINDER FOR OWNERS OF PRIVATE DAY


CARE CENTRES
The Child Care Board is urging operators of private day care centres to
register, or renew their licences by Tuesday, January 31.
Applications for renewal of licences must be accompanied by all required
documents and certificates. Failure to comply with the Child Care Boards
regulations may result in closure, or a penalty of $500.00 and/or six months
imprisonment.

NATIONAL CULTURAL FOUNDATION'S WRITERS' CLINIC
The National Cultural Foundation's Writers' Clinic continues on Saturday,
February 18, with the module entitled 'Poetry for the Novice Reader and
Writer', at The St. Michael's School, Martindales Road, St. Michael, from
11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Writers of all levels are welcome.
EASTERN CARIBBEAN SUPREME COURT VACANCY
The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court requires a Judicial Research
Assistant.

Applicants must have a Bachelor of Laws Degree and a Certificate in Legal


Education, or equivalent, and at least one year of relevant prior work
experience in a similar environment.

OPCW VACANCY
The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) has a
vacancy for the post of Head, Infrastructure, Support Services.
Interested persons should possess an advanced university degree in civil
engineering, architecture, facilities management or a related field. A first
degree with a minimum of 9 years experience may be accepted.
Candidates who do not possess an advanced or first degree, or the
equivalent, may still qualify, if the combination of education, training, selfstudy and work experience are equal to the attainment of a university
degree.
