1.0 PURPOSE
The Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS) is a project
organization framework for identification of accountability,
responsibility, management, and approvals of all authorized
work scope.

2.0 SCOPE
BDR electronics is a farm for world-class Design and
manufacturer of industrial electronic systems as elevator control
boards, light dimmers and general control.

OBS is used in the project management to map the WBS to the


company organization structure.

4.0 PROCEDURE
4.1 Structure
A project OBS is a depiction of the project organization
arranged to indicate the reporting relationships within the project
context. The OBS reflects the way the project is functionally
organized. It is a direct representation and description of the
hierarchy and organizations that will provide resources to plan and
perform work identified in the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). The
OBS is depicted on the Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM),
where it is used to identify the organization responsible for every
element of the WBS and Scope of Work (SOW).

4.2 Responsibility
Project Managers are responsible for the creation of an WBS
that mapping their assigned projects to this OBS.

resources.

Operation Responsible for company operation. Establish plant policies and
