What have you learn about baptism?

-Baptism is very important to us that we are called as the son and daughter of
God and it is symbolizes that we are baptized in our holy catholic church it
cleansed our sin. Lord's Baptism reason is to share our humanity and in Our
Baptism is to share of God's Divinity water-cleansed and oil-reborn. Through
baptism, we remember how Jesus saved us. Being lowered in the water is
symbolic of how we were dead in our sins. Coming out of the water is symbolic of
how our faith in Jesus saved us from death and gives us eternal life. Every
baptism is an opportunity to share Jesus' story. Jesus died to pay for our sin and
restore our relationship with God. Then, He rose from the grave, showing His
power over death.
Baptism first gives a person the supernatural life, whereas the other sacraments
provide for the restoration, or growth, or healing, or communication of the
supernatural life. As we shall see, the moment we are conceived in our mothers
womb, we receive the principle of the natural life of our body, called the soul.
When we are baptized, our soul receives its principle of the supernatural life. The
foundation of supernatural existence is conferred by the Sacrament of Baptism.
In the book of (Mark 16:16) said that He that believeth and is baptized shall be
saved and in the book (Acts 2:38) said that Repent, and be baptized every one
of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
In the book og (Matthew 28:19) "Jesus wants us to baptise and teach" . God
loves all men and women and he wants the very best for them. Baptism is his
great gift to man/woman who has been born in a world and in a condition that
has lost its original purity and union with God. Through Baptism one is cleansed
from sin and one is born of the Holy Spirit to a new life. The baptised person
whether adult or child is now a child of God and a member of Gods family, the
Church. The baptised person is called to live very close to Jesus Christ
throughout the whole of his or her life. Eternal life already begins at Baptism. For
that reason Baptism should not be delayed without serious reasons.
Water was poured, oil smeared and words spoken: I baptize you in the name of
the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. We understand that God loves
us unconditionally and beyond compare. God has created us for a special
purpose. Never be afraid of Gods calling, for building the kingdom of God is the
great adventure of life and Gods grace will surely lead the way.

Personal reflection of Baptism

- Baptism is when Jesus is born in my heart. Baptism, as the child, is the
beginning of a new life, a birth. Baptism makes us become adopted sons and
daughters of God the Father, brothers of Jesus Christ, God the Son. If through
Baptism we become children of God the Father and brothers of Jesus Christ,
we shall be able to live with him forever in heaven. After our death, like Jesus
Christ, we shall rise again. But, from the time of our Baptism onwards, in our life
here on earth, we truly become adopted brothers of Jesus Christ. In Baptism he
gives us forgiveness of all our sins and makes divine life come into us. It is for
that reason that we speak of a birth.
Baptism is something given, it is a grace. Grace is a gift of God to human
beings. Baptism is the grace of new life with Christ: to live as he lived, to love as
he loved.
Baptism purifies us of all the evil we had ever been able to commit before;
through it God forgives all our sins (that is to say the faults against Gods love,
against the love of others, and against the love of myself). Through the water,
and by the grace of Baptism, everything is wiped out: we are all new, a new
creation. At the same time Baptism breaks our solidarity with the sin of origin,
the mysterious original sin: it makes us enter into solidarity with Jesus Christ.
After Baptism a whole new life of faith, hope and love begins. This will last until
our earthly death and our meeting face to face with God in Heaven.
Once we are baptised, we can experience peace and a deep and lasting joy that
do not come from us. Sometimes there are highs and lows, and there is a battle
for love and truth. The Lord God comes to our aid; he sends us the Holy Spirit to
guide us and strengthen us; he gives us his grace. He supports us through a
Christian Community: according to the word of Scripture, a brother for a brother
is a fortified tower.
In the sacrament of the Eucharist, which will be explained during the preparation
for Baptism, we shall receive new strength in order to live as a Christian. And
little by little we shall receive the grace of Baptism more profoundly. We shall
receive it certainly in our life of prayer, but also in our work, in our family life, and
in our social relations.
