speak with a member of the support team before upgrading

Server and Client upgrade

To upgrade the server and clients please follow the steps below:

1: Please make sure your Impero server is on version 5.0.03 or above, 4GB
RAM, Dual Core Processor and .Net framework 4.5 and 3.5 is installed before
upgrading to version 5.4.38.

All Impero clients will require .Net Framework 3.5 for the client to run.

2: Download the install files from the link below.

3: Please copy the Six files\folders into the Impero Server Updates folder.
(Please see the location below)

c:\Program Files (x86)\impero solutions Ltd\impero server\updates

5.4+ contains a new client.zip file in the updates folder on the Impero Server.
This file does not have versioning and is required for the upgrade to be
successful.
The .update file is still required for end users with any release prior to 5.4 and
is required as part of the normal update process.
Please note: For future upgrades, the client.zip file will need to be overwritten
when placing the files in the update folder. Each versions client.zip file will be
different, but currently it will share the same name.
4: Open the Impero server and enable automatic updates. Click on the tools
tab in the top left corner and select Web check.
5: The server will now perform a Web check and download the latest licence
settings.
6: From this point the server will continue to upgrade the server first, then
populate the clients and upgrade to version 5.4.38.

7: Once you have upgraded your client machines they will require a re-start,
this is to make sure the upgrade is fully completed and all the applications are
in the correct location.
8: Please check that the Impero server has automatically updated, if not
please manually update the server by running the following install file:
ImperoServerSetup5438.msi in the following location:
c:\Program Files (x86)\impero solutions Ltd\impero server\updates
