Installation
Installing Pixelator is very simple. There are two install types, one for Windows and
one for Mac. Each installer contains both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of all applicable plugin
formats for both platforms.

Windows
Locate the setup exe file and double click it to begin the installation
Step through the installer and be careful to read each step and provide desired options

Macintosh
Locate the setup dmg file and double click it to mount the installer image
This will create a new virtual drive in your Finder, open this drive and run the package
Step through the installer and be careful to read each step and provide desired options

respectively. You may also choose which plugin formats youd like included with your install.

Controls
The controls for Pixelator were designed to give you form and function, while
maintaining a quick and efficient workflow.

Mode (Five different options)

The mode provides the mathematical method in which the audio resolution will be
reduced. These different modes have different sounds to them as the samples are
divided. The modes are Sample & Hold I, Sample & Hold II, Zero Pad, Linear I, and
Linear II. The difference between Sample & Hold I and II and Linear I and II is that
the II version is a bit more distorted. Experiment with each mode to find the sound
youre searching for. The default value is Sample & Hold I.

Sample Divider (1 - 64 Samples)

This controls the amount of downsampling that occurs on the audio signal using the
selected mode. The display will show you how the signal is being changed. The higher
this setting, the more digital or destroyed your audio will sound. The default value
is 1.

Bit Depth (1 - 24 bits)

This setting controls the amount of bits in the output audio. Decrease in bits causes a
decrease in sound quality. Most session audio is 24 bits, and by lowering the number of
bits you can create interesting sounds with your audio. The method for reducing bits is
multiplying from a double 2^n-1 and then type casting to integer to truncate decimal
point data, then casting back to a double and dividing by 2^n-1. The default value is 24
bits.

Bypass (Off or On)

This will allow you to quickly bypass the affected signal. The default value is Off.

Mix (0% to 100%)

The mix knob allows you to adjust the overall volume balance between the affected
signal and the original signal. A setting of 100% means that the output is 100% the
affected signal, while a setting of 0% means the output is 100% the original signal. The
default value is 100%.

Output (-96 dB to 0 dB)

The output knob provides a way to adjust the overall volume of the output signal
coming from the plugin. The default value is 0 dB.
Functions
The controls have some additional functionality and alternate ways of interacting with
the controls via the following methods:

Double Click / Right Click

This allows you to manually type in a number value for the control point
Control or Command + Click
This allows you to reset the control point value back to default
Shift + Click
This allows you to have a finer mode of control over the control point
Right Click (VST3)
This allows you to access the automation menu supported by the VST3 format
JST Bar
The JST bar provides a few common functions across all JST Plugins. These functions
assist you during the use of the plugin with comparison and preset functions, setting banks,
and a help button to access this manual.

JST Logo
Clicking this will display the About Screen which contains useful information
for troubleshooting or technical support issues as well as information about
who contributed to the creation of the plugin.
A / B Bank button
Pressing this button stores all of the plugins settings into a bank, and then
switches to a secondary bank. At first, the secondary bank will copy all of the
settings from the initial bank to avoid confusion. Click the bank button to
compare settings from the two banks.
Help Button
Pressing this button provides access to this manual.
