6th DUAG: Student Film Festival

Rules, Mechanics, Awards & Criteria

Rules:

1. The contest is open to all Departments/Colleges of Filamer Christian


University.
2. All Departments with the exception of the elementary department must sent
at least 1 (one) entry. Department/Colleges that are not able to participate
will pay an amount of Php 1,500.00 as penalty upon the agreement made
during the meeting of the CGVG.
3. On-screen cast and production crew, as well as the people behind the scenes
must be bona fide students of FCU; they must be enrolled in the same
department for the current 2nd semester (AY. 2015-2016).
4. The film may be of any genre.
5. All entries must be completely original & independently produced. Plagiarism
is strictly prohibited.
6. All entries that have been previously exhibited in any public screening are
automatically disqualified.
7. The official film entry must have a minimum length of 40 minutes and a
maximum of 60 minutes. It should be accompanied by a maximum of 1-2
minutes theatrical movie trailer.
8. Screenplay must be original.
9. Vulgar, explicit words and scenes that portray graphical abuse, pornography
and other forms of violence are strictly prohibited.
10.Each entry must have a premiere screening on March 4, 2016.
11.All entries must have an official Theme Song.
12.Deadline is on February 22, 2016. Deadline is deadline. No extensions.
13.Any violation of the above rules is tantamount to disqualification of the entry.

Mechanics:

1. The Governors/committee-in-charge should submit the following on or before


February 22, 2016 until 6 pm only to the Chairman or to any FCUSR National
officials for the screening and evaluation:

Two (2) burned DVDs of the film

HD file (MP4 format with the resolution of 720p up to 1080p) of the film

1-2 minutes theatrical movie trailer in MP4 format


Softcopy of films Official Theme Song with the hardcopy of Lyrics

Hard copy of the Film Synopsis and Script

List of cast names and characters with close up picture and a


photocopy of their Registration Form.

List of Crew team and title with a photocopy of their Registration Form.

Softcopy of your films sample tickets (standard size: L: 2 W: 3)

Softcopy of Original Poster Design size L: 18 x W: 12 in vertical

2. 3 days after the evaluation and screening, all entries will undergo prejudging.

3. All entries shall be judged. Performances of the actors and the craft behind
the scenes will be judged too.

4. Showing date shall be on the premier day and first day of the FCUSR Days
celebration (March 7-9, 2016).

5. There will be two designated movie houses namely AVCC and FCU Roblee
Hall.

6. Screening will start at 8 am. The organizers will not wait for the movie houses
to be fully occupied with or without the movie-goers or the audience. The film
will start at 8 am, sharp. The sequence of the movie screening will be
determined via drawing of lots.

7. Awarding program will follow in the evening of March 9, 2016.

8. The decision of the board of Judges is deemed to be final and should be


regarded with respect and cordiality.
