While I hold endorsements in both art and special education, my goal is to bring
these two loves together in student learning. No matter the job title, I will bring the
creativity of art and differentiation of instruction from special education to every
learning environment. I feel lucky have found more than one area of education to
make a connection and hope to use them both to strengthen my students learning
experiences.

I have worked in both urban and suburban education settings. Through this I have
learned that no matter a students background, it is my job to find connections that
will engage students in their learning. Personal relationships, mutual respect, and
trust is how I build a classroom cohesive to student learning and a feeling of
acceptance.
