This calculation or data sheet purposed to detailed reinforcements of concrete element for various concrete structure.
Hooked Bar Details for Development of Standard Hooks and Ldh Location According ACI 318-05
Splicing of Rebars
Table Splices for Deformed Bar (fy = 400 MPa) According to ACI 318-05 Sect. 12.14 until 12.19
Splicing for Tension Rebars
Condition of Splices Length of Splices
All Condition 1.3 L d
Note : See table for Length of Distribution/Development Length of Rebars (L d )
Detail Offset of Rebars for Splicing Rebars at Column According ACI 318-05
5) At base section or base elevation of concrete column, there should be no splicing of rebars or all rebars must be installed
continuously until the middle area of next elevation
6) The position of rebars splicing shall not be placed at maximum stress area of concrete elements
7) Especially for rebars with D 32 mm, the splicing must be using mechanic connection (must be using welded connection)
8) Rebars splicing shall not be placed at connection area between primary beam and secondary beam of concrete elements
Note :
1) Spiral bars must be have full lap minimum 1.5 times of bars dimater or 25 mm or the same with clearance distance between vertical
bars without disconnected
2) The length of splices minimum must be 50 times of spiral bars diameter or larger than 300 mm and at end section must be anchoraged.
Note :
1) Minimum length of splicing : 300 mm or must be larger than 40 times of rebar diameter for critical condition
Joint in concrete slab or wall construction to decrease crack area caused by shrinkage and temperature change shown in the following Table :
Length of Hook for Stirrups (Note : Length of Stirrups must be larger than 75 mm )
Typical Reinforcement Detail for Connection between Main & Secondary Concrete Beam
