Due to University Occupational Health & Safety regulations these terms of use will serve as standard practice to
all bookings to ensure that their Agora stalls and promotional efforts are conducted in a manner that is safe for
both themselves, and staff and students at La Trobe University.
1. Space Where possible, you must contain your stall and activities to the space allocated to you. You
will find this information on the Agora Booking Map that will be emailed to you upon confirmation of
your booking.
2. Electricity If you require power you will be allocated a position with close access to a power outlet.
You must supply your own power leads which should have been tested and tagged within the
preceding 12 months. Power leads must be covered by cable trays, available from the LTSU and/or
positioned to avoid foot traffic. Power outlets surrounding the trees in the Agora are not undercover
and are only to be used in fine weather.
3. Waste stallholders must completely clear their site of all waste/recyclable materials prior to
departing. Recycle and waste bins will be located around the Agora for use by stallholders and patrons.
Please advise if your activity will require additional bins. We encourage all stallholders to bring as
little packaging as possible, including avoiding any unnecessary plastic packaging.
4. Noise Groups are permitted to play music from their stall. We ask that it only be at a volume that is
audible from the area immediately surrounding the stall. LTSU and University staff (eg. OH&S staff) are
permitted to ask groups to reduce the volume of their music and this request must be complied with.
5. Behaviour which is deemed as sexist, racist, homophobic, or militaristic in nature will not be tolerated.
Any breach of this will result in your removal from campus. Likewise, any behaviour that can be
regarded as bullying, harassment or defamatory against any individual or group will result in your
removal from campus and suspension of permission to promote on campus.
6. The LTSU reserves the right to cancel or refuse any booking. This may include instances where the
activity or message is in direct competition with either LTSU services, the University or University
tenancies. The promoter must ensure they disclose all appropriate information to the LTSU prior to the
activity on campus.
