To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure I write this letter of recommendation for

Maya Efrat. I have known Maya for four years and it is with immense
pride to have observed her maturity, talent, organizational skills,
fortitude and dedication flourish over her time here at Santa Susana
High School. She is self-motivated, caring, respectful and a
passionate, beautiful young woman with a great sense of humor and
a love of life.

Maya Efrat is a multi-talented, high achieving student not only in

her academics but the performing arts as well, with many years of
theatre, choir and dance. Maya exhibits respect, responsibility and
dedication beyond her years. She is a self confident, level
headed young lady who can still be successful under stress, which
gives her the drive needed to succeed. Maya is a team player.
This trait encourages her peers to respond well and respect her,
especially when she takes on a leadership role, demonstrated in her
Senior Project. Her Senior Project was assistant directing with me
for our main stage fall musical, CURTAINS. Maya has exhibited
knowledge in all areas of production, outstanding leadership skills,
especially when it comes to director vs. friend, a challenge
many students face when directing their peers in any capacity.
Maya has gained an immense amount of passion, compassion,
leadership opportunity and a greater understanding of working with
peers while adjusting to the casts differing abilities and
personalities and still focus on the end result of a production.

In addition to the above outstanding traits and qualities, Maya has

been a member of our California State thespian troupe #5749 for
four years. She has attended the festivals, and has won many
awards. Maya has found where she belongs and will continue to
pursue her career choice in musical theatre.

I feel very confident, due to Mayas motivation, initiative, fortitude

and intelligence, that she will always do her best to behave in a
very professional manner in any given situation or task and I highly
recommend Maya Efrat for the Senior scholarship.
