Agile Out of Band Tuner
The following events cause the set top box to search for the OOB frequency
New installation
Front panel diagnostic selection that overrides the last known carrier frequency
Cold reset from the front panel
Set top box will attempt a carrier lock at a frequency for two seconds. If a carrier is not present, it moves
to the next frequency in the table.

The General Status Diagnostic displays general status information related to the set top box
including:
Error When there is a problem, the error code is displayed and LEDs on the unit flash.
E 00 means there is no error. See installation manual for a detailed listing of error codes.
Purchases This field indicates the number of unacknowledged IPPV purchases.
Remod Channel Displays the configured RF output channel of the set top box. This will be
either 3 or 4 in North American systems.

The Current Channel Status Diagnostic displays diagnostic information related to the currently
tuned channel including:
State Indicates whether or not the set top box is logically connected to the cable system.
CONNECTED means it is connected, NOT indicates not connected.
Type Displays the currently tuned channel type (ANALOG or DIGITAL)
CLR/ENC/FPK Displays the encryption status of the service. ENC indicates the service is
encrypted, CLR indicates not encrypted, FPK indicates its encrypted using a Fixed Program
Key.
Status Displays the status of the current channel (AUTH or Not A)
CH Displays the currently tuned virtual, or display, channel.
Tuned Freq Displays the currently tuned QAM RF channel.

The Upstream Diagnostic displays status information related to the upstream transmitter
including:
STATUS Displays the status of the transmitter where DISABLED indicates a one-way set top
box, - idle, and t transmitting.
FREQUENCY Displays the last frequency used for upstream transmission.
LEVEL Displays the approximate power level of the RF transmitter in dBmV (5 dBmV). The
minimum/maximum transmission levels for a Motorola set top box are 24-60 dBmV.
IPPV Displays the Interactive Pay-Per-View status as follows:
ENABLED IPPV feature is enabled
UNSENT ## - Displays the number of unsent transactions where ## indicates the
number.
DISABLED IPPV feature is disabled
LAST POLL REQ/ACK The dated items indicate the last poll request received and
acknowledged by the set top box.
Note: A non-responding set top box will display different LAST POLL REQ and LAST POLL ACK
date and time values. A responding set top box will display matching date and time values.

Application Code Modules
The Application Code diagnostic displays the status of application code modules which are
loaded onto the set top box to support desired functionality. For example this set top box
has code modules loaded to support firmware (00c-2500) and an interactive guide
application (TV_Guide).
