Benets of ETHAFOAM 220 AS

ETHAFOAM 220 AS polyethylene foam is a
strong, resilient, closed-cell foam with a
medium density 2.2 pcf (35.2 kg/m 3 ), closed-
cell foam. It is ideally suited as a component material
in products requiring a shock absorbing, vibration
dampening, insulating and/or buoyancy component with
anti-static properties, and as a material for cushioning
components in packaging applications for loadings up to
2.5 psi (17.5 kPa).
ETHAFOAM 220 AS polyethylene foam is
a durable, lightweight, exible, solid extruded
product that meets EIA 541 requirements for
static decay and surface resistance. It has
been tested by SP Swedish National Testing
and Research Institute Electrotechnics/
Electronics and has received its ESD
Approval Certicate as Class A and B
material. As the properties listed on the
reverse suggest, ETHAFOAM 220 AS offers
excellent strength, resistance to creep under
load, vibration and shock absorbency, and
water resistance characteristics.
