Ase Rivers Suitability for Barging

The standard oil industry barge (ca. 40,000 bbls capacity) is about 200 feet long
and 50 feet wide (16 metres), and can be used with a 9-foot draft. Its suitability with
Ase River is positive considering this, although there is skeletal information
regarding the depth of Ase River. However, dredging companies can provide
dredging services should depth be the constraint.
Vegetation around Ase River

Immediate surroundings are rainforest vegetation with limited human habitation,

thus confirming its use as an oil transportation hub.

There is a road from Ozoro to Ase community and Ase is also accessible. Ase river
also has a ferry for public transportation
