Invited as one of the commentators/discussants on South Asia Forum for Human


Rightss (SAFHR) project draft report on Auditing conflict resolution and partitions
in South Asia: A human rights perspective at a regional symposium organised by
SAFHR at Dhulikhel, Nepal, 14-15 May 2011.

elections 2009 at the India International Centre, Delhi, on 31st July
2009 (Organizers: Stphanie Tawa Lama-Rewal and Balveer Arora for the Centre de

WORK EXPERIENCE
(i) Over twelve years and six months of teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate
students and guiding research scholars at two Indian Central University, viz,
Banaras Hindu University and University of Hyderabad.
(ii) Preparation of resource material including books, reading materials, laboratory
manuals, etc.
Helped the Department of Political Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi
in preparing course contents and reading materials of MA optional groups on
South Asia which covers the following topics/papers:
a) Government and politics of South Asia (of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka,
Maldives, Bhutan and Nepal)
b) Nation-building in South Asia
c) Foreign policy of South Asian states
d) Indian foreign policy

(iii) Organisation of conference/seminar/workshop


As an Organizing Secretary helped the Department of Political Science, BHU
organise a two-day seminar on, Equality and inclusiveness in contemporary
India: Emerging discourses at HNT Seminar Hall, FSS, BHU on 28-29 January
2010.
As an Organizing Secretary helped the Department of Political Science, BHU
organise a two-day national seminar on, Role of Indian Parliament: Emerging
dimensions, at HNT Seminar Hall, FSS, BHU on 24-25 November 2004.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
As a Programme Officer of the National Service Scheme (NSS) of the Faculty of Social
Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, I helped organize three successive NSS
camps respectively at Jawahar Adarsh Purva Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Susuwahi
(Bhindrawan), Varanasi from 11-17 February 2009, at Purva Madhyamik Vidyalaya,
Chhittupur Village, BHU, Varanasi from 08-14 February 2010, and at Purva
Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Nasirpur, Varanasi from 2-8 February 2011. NSS is the largest
national integration project launched by the Government of India to cater to college
and university students in India. These camps gave me opportunities to serve the
needs of local communities by organizing civic and philanthropic works like clearing
of the village drains and sanitizing the school campuses. We also extensively spread
awareness about the benefit of birth control and preventive measures needed for
community diseases like Tubercolosis, Polio, HIV/AIDs, etc. through street plays and
blood donations.

as a Mess Secretary, which I held in three hostels, viz., Sutlej Hostel (1999-2000), Tapti
Hostel (2001-02) and Brahmaputra Hostel (2002-03)---all in Jawaharlal Nehru
University, New Delhi.
I have also served in various capacities in the local youth clubs/associations in
Sumchinvum village and Churachandpurboth in Manipur, and in New Delhi. I was
the Secretary of the Youth Department of the Zomi Christian Fellowship, Delhi from
2002-04.
