What do I already know?
I have previously researched and studied briefly on Indias
political systems in which one of the main factors is the
caste system. There is also another issue of gender
inequality where their culture generally values men more
then women and boys more than girls. With that cultural
view, men and boys are a lot more likely to receive good
quality education, be more successful at getting decent jobs,
work and salaries. As seen, there is an extremely high
degree of discrimination amongst some people.
What do I need to find out?
I will need to find out the official governmental information
like laws and I would also like to read about some opinion
pieces regarding this issue. By doing that, I would be able
to analyse the main points onto how education inequality is
such a major problem in India.
What search terms should I use?
To make sure I gather accurate and correct information, the
key terms I should include whilst searching may be
something like: India, education inequality, statistics, Effective search terms include: views, onions, action,
development, laws, cultural/political views. government, schools, charities, organisations etc.
What do I already know?
I understand that due to multiple political, cultural reasons
that some laws cant just be adjusted right away. I also
know that due to the causes, a lot of people are
discriminated from receiving good quality education. This
has resulted in a vicious cycle where people just keep
falling into. If you were born into a poor family, you will
always remain in that low social class even though you may
have the potential to achieve high success, you will still be
trapped in the same social class. This decreases the overall
work ethic and quality of Indian workers and also
education.
What do I need to find out?
Since I already know the brief consequences, I should find
out and explore how different stakeholders (so people who
are involved in this issue) view, judge and also what theyre
doing about this long-term issue. By looking at multiple
perspectives, we will be clear about our conclusions.

In order to gather political system
information and the consequences, I
will have to look over governmental,
universities and organisation websites.
This is because those parties may
have conducted a survey/research with
a high degree of accuracy about this
particular global (or more specifically
India) issue.
Since opinions and views vary from
different people, it would make more
sense if we gathered a generalised
opinion on big platforms such as
forums and social media. On these
types of platform, there are often
discussions on certain topics and we
may even be able to learn/read about a
story or two.
Just like above, I could research on
social platforms and forums but
however, I would have to be more
careful with the perspective it is written
in. I could also go to some specific
websites to find out the consequences
of education inequality to particular
stakeholders.
Since history is basically facts,
historical information could be found
on any encyclopaedia such as
Wikipedia.
How useful was this source?
70% useful. The general idea of the
question was a crucial part of one of
my research parts, however, what I
did find more useful that how does
the political system in India affect
education inequality is the
explanation of the caste system
itself. So instead, what would be
100% useful was What is the caste
system and how does it affect the
Indian society and its people?
100% useful. As I typed something
along that question onto Google, I
had documents and websites popping
up, all outlining the issue of gender
inequality and how it is the most
important part of the Indian cultural
views that plays a part in education
inequality.
40% useful. In the end, I found it
unnecessary to find out perspectives
from the stake holders because
education inequality was much more
of a factual issue and would be told
better without opinions preventing
any bias. The reason why I still rated
it as 40% useful instead of 0% is
because I actually got to look into a
perspective whilst researching about
true stories happening/that happened
in India.
60% useful. I did make some brief
mentions of how the society (mainly
with literacy and poverty rates) that
the society has improved and has
positive development. I didnt find
this information as important as the
information about the present India.

February February I did most of my action plan after the
8th, 8th, website creating process as I thought it was

really know what Id actually need to know
until I made a head start. However, I think itd
still be useful to fill in a brief stage planning
like this table.

8th, 9th, process that doing all three would be more

EVALUATION:
Things that went well
Although there are some parts

briefly gave me a starting
point towards this project.
What went well was
Collecting and definetely the amount of
Recording information Ive been able to
collect. Although there arent
much links that are really
really releveant to this issue,
however, all the ones I found
were all extremely in depth so
there was not much need to go
through so many links.
I would say creating the

website information in it was all a
very smooth process. I think
this is because Ive chose to
use Weebly, a site that Ive
used and have experience
with. This would then allow
me to have more time on
composing the information
and plan for the activist

Things that need
improvement
I actually found myself doing
most of the action plan after I
did the website itself as Ive
learnt from previous
experiences that the plan
might not actually be very
useful. However, without the
plan, I would lose the basic
idea and steps I should
follow.
Often, I have clicked onto
websites that arent relevant,
however, I usually dont
notice that until I finish
reading the entire website.
I spent a long time on the
formatting of the website in
the beginning of this entire
website process and that
mightve wasted my time on
research.
Ways of improving
Instead of writing out a full plan
with detail as how I usually do, I
could have at least filled out each
section very briefly maybe simply
with one or two sentences to give me
a brief understanding of which
direction im heading towards.
I should definetely skim trhough the
websites/documents before I further
read them to make sure Im
collecting the correct and accurate
information.
Formatting sure isnt a problem but I
could choose to put it all the
information then doing on the
formatting as the information is a lot
more important than the formatting
itself.
