Care Guide
Hosiery that fits perfectly, that is as effective as possible, and is suitable for
everyday life is particularly important for lymphological diseases.
Naturally, our aim is always to improve the quality of life of people with
chronic illness. But costs also play a role.
The medi Care Guide will support you with all the facets of your illness and, in
combination with your own experience, offers you the best possible help.
It can be used both as a reference work and as a way of systematically
increasing your knowledge.
We in the medi Lymphology team hope you will enjoy reading this guide
and wish you every success.

Treatment

The standard is flat oblique = approx. 5 % of the circumference. Field: Optional border
A steep oblique = approx. 10 % of the circumference can be selected
as an option. Cross steep oblique!
The obliques optimise the fit they compensate for the longer distances
caused by the accumulation of tissue (e.g. jodhpur syndrome).
Lower limbs
You must also consider the course of the gluteal fold. With gluteal folds that
are straight or dip downwards laterally, the topband may fold over.
The high front optimises the fit. Voluminous thighs caused by tissue Give lK1 and cross high front at the top of
accumulation at the front of the thigh make this distance longer. This can be fold-out page 104
compensated for with the high front.
Upper limbs
The high front is calculated from the difference between the front leg length
lK1 and the back leg length lK2. Please note here the maximum lengths:
pantyhose = 5 cm AGs = 8 cm.
The lK1 measurement is only needed for measuring the high front!
When choosing the high front, please consider the patient's anatomy and the
garment style. Incorporation of a longer knit also means a higher volume.
This can lead to wrinkling in the inguinal region with pantyhose.

Please note here the maximum lengths:
pantyhose = 5 cm AGs = 8 cm.
The lK1 measurement is only needed for measuring the high front!
When choosing the high front, please consider the patient's anatomy and the
garment style. Incorporation of a longer knit also means a higher volume.
This can lead to wrinkling in the inguinal region with pantyhose.
