Currimbhoy, Nayana. Indira Gandhi. New York, F. Watts, 1985. By reading this I gained a lot of

information on Indira Gandhis life. I learned more about her childhood and how she

started in Indian politics. I also learned how she became prime minister. The last thing I
learned more about was what she did as prime minister. This gave me information on her

short term and long term impact on India. This book is credible because Nayana

Currimbhoy grew up in India. Later on she moved to New York City but when she was

doing research for this book she came back to India. She witnessed what happened after

Indira Gandhis death. She has also had experience writing books because she has been a

writer for twenty years. I will use the information I got from this book to learn more

about Indira Gandhis short term and long term impact. I will use the information I got

for my project. This will help me get the information I need to put on my website. This

book also gave me the information I need to answer questions about Indira Gandhi. If I

am asked about Indira Gandhis short term or long term impact I will be able to give an

answer.

said by Indira Gandhi. She said, Hence, by excluding women, men are depriving

Gandhi. It includes many great quotes. One quote we used was said by Indira Gandhi.

She said, The nation is in a hurry, and we cant afford to lose time. My complaint

against the Congress is that it isnt going as fast as the people are advancing. And that can

be fatal for a political organization. The book we got this quote from is reliable because

the author Nayana Currimbhoy is from India and went to India to research Indira.

uncomfortable questions after being released from prison and before the her second term

as prime minister. This video gives you some of the inside thinking and reasoning of

Indira Gandhi facing unfair accusations. She keeps her cool extremely well other than

occasionally talk over the interviewer when she got overexcited but remembered to keep

a calm voice and show no guilt. I will use in the part of my project where I talk about the

time between her first and second term as prime minister and the doubt she faced as the

next election drew nearer.

its amazing help towards education and is a highly recommended encyclopedia for

issues world wide. Britannica produces millions of articles that are reviewed by multiple

people to prove the fact. I would recommend this site to 4th graders and up because

although they use words that are easy to figure out they also give you impassible fact.

was produced by a college professor, and was last revised just last year. This came from

a person who was living in the time period that Indira Gandhi was a political leader

therefore making it a primary source which are generally more trustworthy.

shareable link attached to the video that is easily accessible to the viewer you have shared

the link with. I would recommend this source to anyone who would like to learn about

Indira Gandhis past in segments because they shorten videos to focus on certain parts of

her life at a time so the viewer can use the information they need. They also make sure to

include multiple interviews from her cousins and authors who have researched this topic

thoroughly and understand the difference she made.

source for the article which is a speech by Indira Gandhi. I will use this source as one of

Revolution and what it did for India. This is a reliable video because Mahyco is a

company focused on Indias agriculture. They would know about the Green Revolution. I

will use this video on the long term impact part of my website to show the impacts of the

Gandhi. The quote I got from this book was said by Indira Gandhis father. Jawaharlal

mind. Today is New Years Day but you must be rather lonely. Once a fortnight you may

see Mummie, and once a fortnight you may see me, and you will carry our messages to

each other. The book I got this quote from is reliable because the author, Nayana

book is a highly respectable nonfiction story that was in direct cooperation with Indira

Gandhi herself. Dom Moraes is a nationally known Indian writer who translates

information he has found to English and interviews the people he finds the most

interesting. This book happens to be on her off time as a prime minister which was not

usually a perspective taken by most writers. He did include the time of her first ruling

but also people were disappointed and extatic about her not being reelected.

will use the information I got to write about the Green Revolution on my website because

it is part of Indira Gandhis short term impact.
