FAUNTLEROY WAY NEIGHBORHOOD & BUSINESS

ASSOCIATION
We invite you to join us at Rudys Barbershop and Realfine Coffee on Wednesday,
March 1, at 7:30 PM to discuss SDOTs plans for Fauntleroy Blvd SW. We are
concerned that this project, conceived and designed in 2014, does not address the
realities of a quickly-growing West Seattle residential and business population in 2017
and beyond.

Our concerns with the project include:

- Reduction of access to businesses in the project corridor; both during
construction and permanently thereafter
- Lack of concern for the significant impact to commute traffic during the year-long
planned construction phase
- An undue emphasis on improving the pedestrian experience on an arterial street
- Reduction in the ability of westbound traffic to access businesses and amenities
on the south side of Fauntleroy Blvd SW (and vice versa)
- The plan places more value on adding greenery to Fauntleroy Blvd than on
ensuring the businesses thereon remain viable and accessible to West
Seattleites

At this meeting, we invite our neighbors to share their concerns and goals for the SDOT
project, and to align on a best path forward to ensure the Citys investment truly meets
the needs of a changing community. We hope you can join us to discuss this project as
