The following posts of Professors, Associate Professors & Assistant Professors, as mentioned against each
Department/Centre/Institute, are to be filled in through Walk-in-Interview, purely on temporary basis for the Academic
Session 2010-11 or till the regular posts are filled in through proper selection, whichever is earlier.
The posts carry the basic pay plus other allowances admissible as per University rules. Qualifications & detailed
instructions etc., are available at University Website: puchd.ac.in. No TA/DA will be paid. Number of posts can be
increased or decreased.
Attend interview with Bio-data (ten copies) on the prescribed form available at the Form Counter, Panjab
University, Chandigarh along with original and duly attested photocopies of testimonials, Certificates/Degrees in the
Vice-Chancellor’s Office at the date and time indicated against each:

REGISTRAR
Form Counter, Panjab University, Chandigarh or by post from Deputy Registrar (Estt.) by sending
a self-addressed stamped envelope (worth Rs. 25/-) of 30 cm. X 12 cm. along with fee of Rs. 375/- for General
Category (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST category) through Bank Draft favouring Registrar, Panjab University,
Chandigarh, payable at Chandigarh.
The candidates living abroad may apply on plain paper with full bio-data (ten copies), one set of attested
copies of testimonials, together with requisite fee through a crossed account payee Bank Draft payable at
Chandigarh in favour of the Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Please attach four sets of reprints of
five major publications (out of which two could be books or research projects) for the post of Professor.
