Venom Tab Leather Trimming Directions

We, at Black Mamba Archery, thank you for choosing the Venom Finger Tab.

To get an approximation of where to cut the leather on your Venom Tab, hook
the string of your bow and have a partner mark a line approximately 1/8 to 1/4 of
an inch in front of your finger tips. See #1 in the photo below.

Cut both pieces of leather with a scissors along the lines that were marked.
After the initial trimming, shoot your tab and fine tune the length by trimming a
little at a time until only the absolute minimum amount of leather is left to
protect the fingers at release. Remove any leather that is touching the arrow or
nock, and any excess cordovan beyond the backing leather.

Trim a little at a time until there is no leather interfering with your anchor, #1.
Remove any leather that is touching the nock at full draw above and below the
arrow, #2 and #3. Remove any excess leather on the bottom, #4.
Mark and trim the nylon strap to fit. Make sure you leave enough strap so you
can loosen it enough to remove that tab from your hand easily. After cutting,
melt the end of the nylon strap to control fraying.

Mark Cut Melt

After shooting your new Venom Finger Tab for awhile, fine tune the fit making
sure that the leather does not interfere with your anchor, #1, or make contact
with the arrow above and below the nock, #2.

Again, thank you for choosing the Venom Finger Tab.
