walls or on the surface of the sea from a submarine.
Both periscope mirrors are placed at 45. Light
from an object enters the periscope and is reflected into the eye of the observer. The plane mirrors in the periscope can be replaced by prisms to get image that is brighter and clearer.
i/licroscope
Microscope is used to enlarge images of tiny
objects.
The microscope uses two convex lenses, the
objective lens and the eye piece which have short focus lengths.
The focal length of the objective lens is shorter
than the focal length of the eyepiece.
The objective lens forms a real, inverted and
enlarged image. The eyepiece acts as a SPM 06/P1/Q20 magnifying glass to enlarge image formed by the objective lens. The final image formed is virtual, inverted and enlarged.
