Is it hard to change? In Hunt for the Wilder People, Ricky changes while living in
the bush with Hector after going on the run when a misunderstanding sends Ricky and
Hector to the top of the most wanted list with the police and much of New Zealand
chasing after them. In Hunt for the Wilder People, Ricky becomes a dynamic character
over the course of the movie because he becomes brave, he becomes confident, and
he becomes caring.
At the beginning of the movie Ricky was not brave, but by the end he had
changed. For example, at first Ricky was scared of the wild boars. He fainted when he
saw bella kill one at the beginning, at the end of the movie he killed one to save Hector.
This shows that Ricky is brave because he decided to shoot the boar instead of run
away from it. It also shows how he changed because he would not let Hector get
attacked, and he did not faint.
At the beginning of the movie Ricky was not confident, but he changed. For
example, In the beginning of the movie Ricky took every chance he could to run away
from Hector and Bella, but gradually he worked up the confidence to get to know them
and stop running away from them. This shows that Ricky became confident because he
stopped running from new things he did not like and learned to change.
At the beginning of the movie, Ricky did not care about anyone, but by the end
he became a caring person. At the beginning of the movie Ricky did not care about
Hector or Bella, for example he stole from them and would sneak out of their house at
night. But once he got to know Bella he did not do these things anymore and he began
to care about her, and he was sad when she died. Later on when Ricky and Hector
were living in the bush, he began to care about Hector too. This shows Ricky is caring
because he felt sad when Bella died and would rather stay in the bush with Hector than
go back to the orphanage.
Hunt for the Wilder People addresses a very important question, what would it
take for you to change? The movie shows this with Ricky when he becomes a dynamic
character after becoming caring, confident, and brave. If everyone was dynamic,
everyone could change, then couldnt we in theory solve all of the worlds problems?
