COLLEGE PENNANT
Your task is to find the following information on the college of your choice.
Your college can be in state or out of state, but it must be a realistic choice
for you. The following information must be gathered on your college. Fill in
the spaces below. Once you have completed your research you are going to
create a pennant (see sample on the university website). Your pennant must
look like the pennant of your college. After your
pennant is complete, you will put your college
research information on the backside of your
pennant.

District (IGNiTE Program).

nowhere. Also, the financial aid is a little less than other colleges. The
medical field isnt very vast. The student faculty ratio is too high for my
preference.

Majors Im interested in: The majors Im interested in are Pre-Law, Pre-

Med, Pre-Professional Psychology, and Psychology.

Things I like: Its definitely that this school is at an everyday driving

distance from my house and back. It has an APA accredited psychology
program and offers the programs Im really interested in. Also, since
its a private university, I have more of a chance of getting a larger
amount of financial aid based on my current situation. The student
faculty ratio is in my preference which will allow me to have the
relationship I want with my professors.

Things I dont like: It is a lot more expensive compared to public state

schools; twice as much. However, it does offer larger financial aid
packages and scholarships. I would not be getting the dorm

residential campus. It offers certificate, bachelor's, master's and
doctoral degrees.

Majors Im interested in: The only major they offer that Im interested
in is psychology.

Things I like: This university is APA accredited, as well. Which would put
me on the higher end of the scale when applying for jobs.

Things I dont like: I dislike that the school is huge and not in Oregon.
Alone, there are 4,727 undergraduate students enrolled. I prefer a
smaller school, that allows me to have a relationship with my
professors. Also, the out of states resident fees make the tuition
higher.

Final thoughts:
Based on my current qualifications, I am eligible for each of the colleges. My GPA is at
3.88 so I will have to either keep or improve it even more. When taking the SAT or ACT, I want
to at least get a 1000 on the SAT and 20 on the ACT. My focus programs are leading me in the
right path of psychology and so are the courses I have already taken (sociology and
psychology).
