World Math Day
World Math Day is a program run
by 3P Learning a global online education
program that covers mathematics, spelling,
literacy, reading, and science. Some of you
will remember participating in this program in
your younger years, and it has since been
updated to include material for all levels. You
will be working specifically on level 10
material. Many of the concepts covered will
serve as a review from the
first semester. We will
begin working on it
Wednesday, February
15 and will complete
one activity each
morning as a bell work.
There will be a permission slip
attached to the end of the second page of this
newsletter asking your parents for permission
to sign up for the World Math Day website. It
can be either emailed in or printed and
brought in. Every morning when you come in
pick up a Chromebook and sign in to the
website. I will have a section number up on
the board for you to complete. The questions
are multiple choice and the more correct you
answer, the higher your score. The 5
individuals with the highest score on March
1st will receive a Late Homework Pass to be
used on any late assignment.

Quizizz
We will soon begin a new method of Friday Quizes. Instead of the usual
problems on the board, well be trying out a new system called Quizizz, an online
system that doesnt necessitate an account to utilize, only internet. Those of you with
smartphones can answer the questions from there, if they would like. Those of you
without one are free to use the class Chromebooks. I will write the join code on the
board and each of the
questions will have a
different amount of time.
The results at the end are
shown on a right to
wrong ratio. Anyone with
a score less than 50% will
need to retake the quiz on
Monday to ensure a pass.
