AnsTheRigveda is the oldest book of Vedas. It is believed that it was written approximately 3000 to 3500
years ago. There are more than 1000 Richas in it. The collection of Richas are called Suktas. Richas are
the mantras for worshipping different Gods and Goddesses. There are three main Gods. They are Agni,
Indra and Soma. Agni is the God of fire, Indra is the God of war and Soma is a creeper of which a special
kind of drink is prepared. The language of Rigveda is called Praka Sanskrit or Vedic Sanskrit.
Q.2 Give introduction of Megaliths.
Ans Megaliths means a stone of very big size was properly arranged on the tombs of dead bodies buried
below the ground. The tradition of Megalith was started approximately 3000 years ago. Such remnants
were found from South India and North-East India. The dead bodies were buried along with special type of
clay vessels made of black and red clay, iron tools, weapons, skeleton of horses, stones and gold
