The Majesty Choir will begin rehearsing for
the Easter Cantata on Thursday, March 9,
at 7:15pm immediately following Majesty
Choir rehearsal at 6:30 pm. All voices
welcome to join us for this wonderful
celebration on April 22-23!
Pastoral Visits
Right now in our faith community we have a
number of people suffering with Influenza A. The
general Norfolk area also has been effected.
We would like to remind you of different ways
to share the peace which do not require touching.
Saying the peace to one another is certainly
appropriate. Signs of peace with hands are
appropriate that acknowledges without touching.
Recognizing others with a look that acknowledges
them is also appropriate. We suggest the use of the
hand sanitizer available in the entrance area, and for
safe interactions with each other during the peace.
And we hope for the winter season of influenza to
pass by quickly!
During this period Jacquie and the pastors will
limit their interaction with Influenza A folks, so to
try and be healthy for others, but also to not
inadvertently become Influenza A carriers. Please
understandprayers and phone calls, cards and well
wishes are all ways to interact. But we are hopeful
that we can keep the Influenza to a minimal level of
contact and transmission. Thank you!

Summer Camp is an awesome faith and confidence-
building experience!
Carol Joy Holling Camp, located just outside of
Ashland, NE, offers summer camp programs for 1st-
12th grade students, families and people with special
needs! You can attend for just $50 with the
remainder of registration fees picked up by St.
Johns Benefaction Board. Simply register your
child online at caroljoyholling.org and, at checkout,
select Pay By Check. Then pay a $50 non-
refundable deposit to St. Johns Camps & Retreats
fund, who will then pick up the total registration.

Dear members of St. Johns Lutheran Church,

Lutheran Campus Ministry in Norfolk through your
regular giving to St. Johns. You and many others
have given gifts which make a difference in
providing a financial foundation for NeLCM-
Norfolk as we continue in our sixth year of
campus ministry in Norfolk.
Your most current gift of $276.31 will change
lives. Your gift is an answer to prayer, as it
translates into providing a pastoral ministry
presence among those students who are seeking
to grow more deeply into Jesus Christ and the
community which bears his name, so that they
may discover and fulfill their vocations as
disciples.
Our active students and I are currently
establishing and growing MoneyFit, our 2017
Youth Philanthropy Contest Winning Project.
MoneyFit aims to provide youth, college students,
and adults with basic financial literacy information
and educational opportunities to equip individuals
and families with personal financial fitness so they
can live confident and generous lives. The first
two stages of our project are to establish online
resources for MoneyFit
through moneyfitnow.com and social media
outlets (Facebook, Twitter, & SnapChat), as well
as to educate a pilot group of college students on
basic budgeting skills using Financial Peace
University. I am happy to report that both of
those stages are underway and showing success.
Our 2016 Youth Philanthropy Contest winning
project Helpful Hygiene Hut also continues to do
well, providing basic hygiene items to college
students who request them. We will be evolving
this project into HelpShelf in the coming weeks.
Under the HelpShelf brand, NeLCM will be
partnering with University of Nebraska Medical
Center College of Nursing across the state to
provide pantry items (food, hygiene, etc.) to
students who need them.
