CONGRESS
REPORT ON INBOUND CALLS FOR TRUMP'S
FIRST 30 DAYS
SUMMARY
Hiya scans more than 3.5 billion calls per month globally and
referencesa database of over 1.5billion numbers to identify
incoming and outgoing calls.

Sinceearly January, Hiya has detected notable spikes in

incoming mobile phone traffic to the phone numbers of the
U.S.Congressthanks, in large part, to the power of social
media.

In this report, we'll look at some of the data and trends

beginning on January 20, with the inauguration of President
Trump. This report will include Congressional numbers with
the highest volume of incomingmobile phone calls, a
timeline of significant events coinciding with the rise in
inbound calls, and charts specific to the most-called Senators
and Representatives.

Phone numbers monitored include the U.S. Capitol and

House Switchboard lines, Senate Committee numbers, and
D.C. office numbers for all Senators andHouse
Representatives. All phone numbers were pulled from public
record and all mobile phone traffic data is delivered in
aggregate.

Unless otherwise stated, all data correlates to thefirst 30 days

of Trump's Presidency: January 20-February18.Quantities of
calls are calculated by extrapolating the total number of
inbound mobile calls detected among Hiya's user base as
compared to the entire U.S. mobile subscriber base.

Trump's First 30 Days in Office

The Renewed Power of the Phone Call

Thirty days into Trumps presidency, with several critical personnel
nominations and almost one executive action for each day in office, the
American people have taken back the power of the phone call. Based on
analysis from an estimated771,300 calls made from mobile phones to
Capitol Hill, inbound calls to Congress have increased 164% since the
inauguration on January 20th, for an average of 25,700 calls per day. While
text and email have become some of the most common means of contact,
Americans who want to ensure that their voice is heard on the Hillhave
reverted back to more direct means of communication.
