DEFINITIONS

IMPORTANT: Data shown in the Isuzu Health Report is only valid between the beginning and ending
selected reporting dates unless otherwise noted.

General Tab
General Information - Customer data entered by the user with the exception of the VIN and reporting dates.
The VIN is extracted from the engine control module, while the reporting date and time is based upon internet
server date and time (if an internet connection was detected at the time of the data upload) OR PC date and
time.
Fuel Economy Summary - Distance Traveled, Fuel Consumed and Average Fuel Economy between the
selected report dates.
Engine Condition Summary OK, YIELD or STOP will be displayed for Engine Coolant Overtemperature
Frequency (230+F) and Engine Overspeed (4000+ RPM).
Emission Condition Summary - OK, YIELD or STOP will be displayed for diesel particulate filter (DPF)
Regeneration Completion (percentage as the ratio of the number of regeneration cycles completed to the
number of regeneration cycles attempted). See Emission Tab for actual DPF Regeneration count
information.
100-65% complete displays OK indicating the vehicle is being operated in a manner that is acceptable
to ensure complete DPF regeneration.
64-29% complete displays YIELD (Caution) indicating the vehicle is being operated in a manner that
does not always complete the regeneration process before the engine is shut off by the driver.
28-0% complete displays STOP (Take Action) indicating the vehicle is being driven in a manner that
may cause the vehicle to automatically shutdown to prevent permanent engine and DPF damage. In
this case, analyze driving habits and route patterns to avoid this condition.
DPF Particulate Matter Accumulation Status of particulate matter accumulation inside the DPF based upon
the last differential pressure test performed before the Ending Report data was pulled.
Driver Braking Rating 0-40=STOP, 41-70=YIELD, 71+=OK. Calculation is a function denoted as the
following: 100-((Y+R)*100)/G, where G is defined as the sum of (Deceleration Rate*Brake Transition Cycles in
the Green area of the Braking graph), Y is defined as the sum of (Deceleration Rate*Brake Transition Cycles
in the Yellow area of the Braking graph), and R is defined as the sum of (Deceleration Rate*Brake Transition
Cycles in the Red area of the Braking graph).
Braking Energy Rating per Mile 0-40=STOP, 41-70=YIELD, 71+=OK. Calculation is a function denoted as
the following: 100-((G+Y+R)*4)/total mileage, where G is defined as the sum of (Deceleration Rate*Brake
Transition Cycles in the Green area of the Braking graph), Y is defined as the sum of (Deceleration
Rate*Brake Transition Cycles in the Yellow area of the Braking graph), and R is defined as the sum of
(Deceleration Rate*Brake Transition Cycles in the Red area of the Braking graph).
Average Brake Pedal Applications per Mile Total Number of Brake Transition Cycles divided by the number
of miles driven between the selected report dates.

Driving Type
Highway Driving is defined as vehicle speed greater than about 50 mph for an extended period of time.
City Diving is defined as vehicle speed about 20 to 50 mph.
Low Speed Driving is defined as vehicle speed about 10 to 20 mph.
Idling While Driving is defined as engine speed less than 1200 RPM with vehicle speed greater than about 10
mph (coasting).
Low Speed Idling is defined as engine speed at idle with vehicle speed less than about 10 mph (creeping).
Idling While Parked is defined as engine speed less than 1200 RPM with the vehicle stopped.
PTO Operation is defined as the PTO switch turned ON with the engine running.
Mileage Tab
Distances Traveled at each speed range between the selected report dates.

Fuel Tab
Fuel Consumed at each speed range between the selected report dates.

Economy Tab
Miles per Gallon at each speed range between the selected report dates.

Time Tab
Driving Time at each speed range between the selected report dates.

Speed Tab
OWNER MUST APPROVE THE VIEWING OF THIS PAGE. Complete the provided Consent Form to allow
viewing.
Total time in hours the engine is operating for each MPH range (6 mph increments) between the selected
report dates.

Temperature Tab
Total time in hours the engine is operating for each engine coolant temperature range between the selected
report dates.
Cold engine running coolant temperature: Less than 149F
Normal engine running coolant temperature: Between 149F and 221F
Hot engine running coolant temperature: Between 221F and 240F
Overheating engine running coolant temperature (harmful): Over 240F

Acceleration Tab
Total time in hours the engine is operating for each accelerator pedal position (10% increments) between the
selected report dates. A heavy footed driver will operate the vehicle at large accelerator pedal openings,
which will be displayed toward the 81%-100% range.

Braking Tab
Total number of times the brake pedal was applied between the selected report dates resulting in various
vehicle stopping rates. Vehicles operating in the RED colored range of the Braking chart will cause premature
brake component wear.

Miscellaneous Tab
DPF Regeneration Count displays the total number of attempted and completed regeneration attempts
between the selected report dates.
Engine Usage displays the number of times the engine was started, the amount of time the engine was
running and the number of times the engine rotated between the selected report dates.
Vehicle Speed displays the maximum speed achieved since vehicle production; the total distance traveled
over 75 mph between the selected report dates, and the amount of time the vehicle was driven above 75 mph
between the selected report dates. OWNER MUST APPROVE THE VIEWING OF THIS SECTION.
PTO Activation displays the number of times and the amount of time that the PTO switch was turned ON with
the engine running between the selected report dates.
