I am pleased to present my resume to you for consideration as an educator. I am currently a senior

at Pittsburg State University and will graduate May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in
Elementary Education and a minor in Inclusive Education. As a student at Pittsburg State
University I managed my time between work and studies.
Over the past five years I have attended Pittsburg State University, working several part time jobs
as a waitress and childcare provider while maintaining a work-student life balance. The structure
and balance paid off and I was honored to be a member of the Deans list in 2016.

I recently completed my student teaching with a Kindergarten class at Jayhawk Elementary

School in the Linn County. My student teaching provided me with the experience of writing
lesson plans, testing using AIMSweb, and monitoring students learning with great detail. I was
also encouraged to be an active and engaging team member and to participate in IEP meetings.
My inclusive education minor has provided me with the knowledge to teach students with
exceptionalities in the general education classroom. I had the privilege of completing five months
of field experience with internship and student teaching in the same classroom. I enjoyed
watching my students engage in activities and I was inspired by the progress and enthusiasm of
each student in the time I shared with them. I am always working to bring new and exciting ideas
into the classroom and I look forward to bringing the same excitement to your district.

I am excited to start my career as an educator and with the help of many mentors I will
accomplish my goal in May 2017. I possess the qualities you would expect; organization,
reliability, strong work ethic, patience, structure, excellent listening skills but I have more to
offer. I am passionate about my career, my students, excited to learn, driven to bring my
excitement to the classroom, my students, and their parents.
