Conference Mission

The Malaysia Open Source Conference

(MOSC) mission is to accomplish World
Class Human Resources in Information
Technology, through knowledge sharing
and the usage of Open Source Software.

Objective
MOSC MY objective is to explore and share the
Enterprise- level Open Source solutions and
technology.

This is the event where participants can learn from

knowledge sharing, about how they can improve their
know-how of Open Source software that's can
maximize profits and benefits for their organization.

Conference Structure
1. Talk and Tutorials: There will be 24 talk and workshop sessions
2. Competition : There will be programming competitions for Enterprise Open
Source solution.
3. Demonstration Booth : There will be 10 booths for sponsors to exhibit and
demonstrate their products, services and projects in detail to participants.
4. Birds of a Feather : There will be Birds of a Feather sessions, where
participants with the same interest can get together to have a lively dialogue
about their Open Source project.

Technical managers, administrators, developers and expert users from the following
organisations:

1. Government : All ministries and agencies

2. Academics : All public and private universities and colleges

3. Business : All MNC, Public Listed Companies, Technology Venture Capital

Industries.

4. Community : All OSS communities that have representation in Malaysia

Venue - UKM Bangi

The Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST) is located near to the Faculty
of Engineering and Built Environment in Bangi Campus, Selangor. You may come here
via the First Link entrance by using the Kuala Lumpur Seremban Highway and exiting
through the Kajang toll, or may also exit through the Bandar Baru Bangi toll. For those
who are coming from Sepang, you may take the Second Link entrance and head directly
to FIST. Among the public transportation available to for your convenience are:

1. KTM Komuter - towards Seremban. Kindly depart at UKM Station. Take a taxi or a
RapidKL Bus No.430 to FTSM.
2. RapidKL Bus take the No.E2 bus to Kajang Terminal. Once arrive, switch to
RapidKL Bus No. 430 to FIST.
3. KLIA Limousine Service from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
4. KLIA Express Transit stop at Bandar Tasik Selatan Station, take the KTM Komuter
towards Seremban and stop at UKM Station. Then, take a taxi or RapidKL Bus
No.430 to FIST.
