A) Set of open spaces.

North & East to be more.
South & West to be less.

B) Levels.
South West to be highest.
North East to be lowest
Slope from South to North } At all
Slope from West to East } Levels.

C) Space Location.
Entrance From North East or alternatively on the North East bhag
Master Bed South West or alternatively on the South West bhag
Kitchen South East or alternatively on the South East bhag
Alternate North West or alternative on the
Location North West bhag
Toilets South East or North West
North East or South West to be avoided in relation to the bed to which it is attached.
Beds to be avoided in North East or Atleast should be recessed to create some other space to
avoid exact North East.

D) Toilets Layout Internal

All W/Cs to have North South orientation.
Wash Basin - North East.
Avoid W/C on South West or North East location inside toilet.

E) Staircases Movement
Clockwise. Avoid anti clockwise movement.
No. of steps- even no.of rises
Inclination South to North
(Preferred) West to East.
Lifts Should be in the South West alternatively on the South West bhag
 F) Bed location in Bed Rooms
Preferably touching the south wall next touching west wall avoid Placing on
East or North.

G) Wardrobes
Preferably South or West side.
Avoid North or East if this is found unavoidable then it should be narrower in width compared to
wardrobes on South or West

H) Open Terrace
*Should be on North
*Should be on East
*It can be on North and East both
*No Terrace on South or West.

I) Over Head Tank

Maximum towards South West

or atleast on the South West bhag

J) Height at Terrace Level

*South West Should be highest.
*North East Should be lowest

K) Terrace Draining
*South West should be highest.
*North East should be lowest
*Terrace Should be Basically drain Towards North East
*Avoid draining towards South & west
*Try to give slope in the R.CC slabs.
*Specially in private residence as they are mostly final slabs as this help in draining without
adding undue filling over terraces.

M) Building Configuration.
Vastu requires a true square or a rectangle without offsets specially North East & South West should
not be cut at any level.

N) Site Configuration - Vastu requires a true square or a rectangle without offsets specially
North East and South West should not be cut.
 O) Weight Vastu' s basic principal is that South West should be heaviest & North East
lightest both at micro & macro level.

P) Transformer & Generators Preferably to be located at South East bhag.

Q) Ramps. Sloping down from South to North & West to

East

R) Number of RCC Columns Even Numbers only.

S) Double Heights & Cellar In North East region or North East bhag.

T) Bore Wells & Water Sump In North East region.

U) Septic Tank. Avoid North East region.

V) Compound Wall South higher than North, West higher than

East.

W) All storm water drain inside Sloping from West to East and
The compound covered South to North.
