ISSN Reflection

On the Salem Witch Trial Hysteria, we had to write a seven paragraph informative essay

explaining what caused the witch trial Hysteria. Some expectations were to list down five

causes of the hysteria, six sources (three credible, two document quotes and two quotes from

The Crucible) but must be in total of 10 quotes. One personal goal i had for this project is to

get to the point and not waste time. I wanted good and reliable evidence from top worthy

websites because some websites contained unproven evidence that make no sense or even relates

to the topic. When i received this project i was excited because the whole witchcraft history

interested me especially things that were unexplained (supernatural).

My first decision was to look for good credential evidence towards the reason of the Hysteria

in Massachusetts. I thought I drought down some important quotes from the book The Crucible

and then look for some other information in the internet connecting to the hysteria. Then I would

try to relate the book evidence to websites to see if they cmatch and if they are real evidence

connecting to the witch trial to explain the reason people began pointing out on others that they

were witches. Lastly, explain the reasons and choices people began the accusations.
 What I've learned from the salem witch trial was that some of the towns people began

accusing others of wirch craft for their own selfis needs. Some selfish reasons were for land,

jealousy, love affairs gone wrong and economical reasons which leaded to innocent people dying

. Throughout this essay I've learned that horror entertains me especially supernatural and

massive tragic events interest me as well with a scary/shocking background. I believe i need

improvement in added more evidence and making sense with them but something I excelled was

understanding the topic because i usually just do the work than just reading amd understanding it

through. What made me disappointed of myself was not following the cryteria of essay as much

leading to me having a not perfect grade becuase i didn't put much effort as usual.

I investigated the world but reading information from a different state and trying to

understand the purpose of the accusations in the witch trial.While investigating I learned new

information about different reasons the whole witch trial began. This experience supported my

vision because it helped me understand the core reason of why people accused eachother leading

it to be selfish and digraceful reasons for their own needs. I recognized and weighed perspectives

as I reviewed the reasons Salem people began those reasons and how other people saw those

options and actions. Others saw these actions as pathetic and ignorant options while others saw it

as desperate needs for desperate messures. I know it matters in todays society because people

have a different view and opinion on objects and its good if we respect others perspectives.
