2. System requirements
2.1 Data Server
Data flow within iPQ-Workflow is carried out via reel protocols in XML format. A central Data
Server is installed to enable every iPQ-Workflow participant to access the data (iPQ-View / Check,
Quality Assurance, Report Generator and Rewinder Control). This server is linked to the stations
via LAN. TCP is used as the communication protocol.
Windows XP / 7 32bit or 64bit, Windows Server 2008
Hard disk space needed depends on the amount of the protocols data
(250 GB recommended)
2 GB RAM
1 USB 2.0 port for dongle
1 Ethernet port 10/100 Mbit/s
NET Framework 4.0 Client Profile
Fixed IP address in the iPQ-Workflow network, corresponding subnet mask
Firewall: Enable incoming connections to ports 35876 and 35877 TCP / UDP for
DataDistributor.exe and OrigReelManager.exe
Firewall: The target addresses for the rules can be limited to the addresses of iPQ-View /
Check, Quality Assurance, Report Generator and Rewinder Control
