MILESTONE

Mr. Andy Mallari is the owner of the shop selling transistor radios
in 1979 at General Luna St., Burgos Avenue, Cabanatuan City. He was
successful on managing his shop and expand it at different areas.

After saving enough money, he purchases a 300-square meter lot,

and construct it by 10 meters by 15 meters, two-storey building. The 1st
floor is the store and residence at 2nd floor.

Mr. Mallaris success leads to expansion of his branches at other

big towns. He has five salesladies and six technicians. His current
operations cover sales and repair

In their class reunion at Araullo University, Mr. Mallari meet his

former classmate, Estillo Chan, who is now successful and has a well-
established appliance assembly plant in Manila. Mr. Chan did not start
big but a subcontractor for a large assembly plant.

Mr. Mallari think that he can also do what Mr. Chans success by
sending his eldest son at engineering school.

Mr. Mallari has three sons, all belonging to top ten in their
respective classes. He thinks that he can achieve his dream which is
establishing his own assembly plant by identifying the right courses for
his sons.

B. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Due to Mr. Mallaris dream, he thinks that his sons can fulfill it by
choosing their courses. But, the question is, will his three sons will
accept the courses what Mr. Mallari might choose? How is Mr. Mallari
going to plan or established his dream, his own assembly plan?
C. RECOMMENDATIONS

Mr. Mallari should know what kind of business he wants to

established, whether administrative, productive or sales. He must also
know what is wrong with his business and what needed an
improvement.

The children should consult first before deciding what course best
suits them. It might be against their will. In that case, the children might
not enjoy their college course and lead them to failure.

Mr. Mallari must gather information regarding the dream he wants

to established and the interest of his three sons. After that he can relate
those to college courses available. These would provide the best
decision making in both parties and can benefit both sons and father in
the future.

D. CONCLUSIONS
A business is kind of work that needs most of your time. It needs
effort, and skills in order to established a successful business.
Establishing a business requires good decision making and technical
planning. Having the best persons with the right skills is what a
businessman would look for in starting a business. Mr. Mallaris might
found the right person but doesnt have the right skills yet. The best
strategy that Mr. Mallari can make is that enhance the skills of his sons
by enrolling them to school with course that relates to his dreams and
the interest of his sons.
