Praxis Core Exam Analysis

Exam Requirements

This Praxis Core Exam Analysis paper is about my ability to pass the Praxis Core

Exam. I must prepare for and pass the Praxis Core exams. I can proceed to take education

courses and continue my Bachelor's degree in Education at UNLV after I pass the exams.

My current practice test scores are: Reading, 50; Writing, 73; and Math, 58.

Exam Preparation

I prepared by reading the three practice tests: Praxis Core Math, Praxis Core

Reading, and Praxis Core Writing. I have also looked at the Khan Academy website and

watched a variety of videos, such as factoring and mixed numbers. I also went to the ETS

website, but I did not do any of the practice questions. I have watched the reading,

writing, and math review videos on the Mometrix website.

Exam Results

My result for reading is 58% and the result for math is 50%. These two test results

indicate that improvement is needed and that I will need further practice in order for me

to pass when I take the official Praxis Core Exams. My result for Writing is at 73%,

which means that I am at the borderline for passing the official Praxis Core Exam.

Future Exam Preparation

My scores tell me that I will have to be more diligent in order for me to pass the

official Praxis Core exams. I plan to purchase a practice book and to sign up for the

Praxis Core Review classes at CSN and at Teachers Prep website. I will also use the

Khan Academy, Mometrix, and EdReady websites for additional practice.
