Aims : The course covers a broad appreciation of the responsibility, obligation and
practices on environmental issues in an industrial organisation. The objectives
are to provide an overview of various techniques, skills and strategies for
environmental and social conscious industry.

Environmental Impact Assessment: Concepts and Case Studies
Design for Products of Green: Design Challenge, Tools, Choosing Materials, RoHS,
Green Manufacturing Processes and Systems: Process/System Design Challenge, Tools, WEEE
Industrial Ecology: Concepts, Life Cycle Assessment, Eco-Industrial Parks, logistic
Assessment: Coursework 40% & Examination 60% (2 hours, closed book written)

Coursework: The coursework will be assessed by Three (3) Assignments as outlined as follows:

Submission after the Due Date will be subjected to the deduction of 2 marks per day.

Note: Students are required to form into groups of not more than 7 members at the end of Week-2
latest for carrying out the Assignments of 1, 2 & 3.
