Romeo and Juliet Timeline

Act.scene # Events

1.1 A street fight occurs between servants of Capulet and Montague, everyone
from the street got involved, Benvolio Montague and Tybalt Capulet debut.
Prince stopped the fight and was livid.

1.1 Romeo was depressed, Benvolio tried to find out the reason, and it is because
Romeo was in love with Rosaline but could not win her heart, Benvolio wants to
help him.

1.2 Count Paris came to the Capulet and asked to marry Juliet.

1.2 Lord Capulet is hosting a party, Montagues are not invited, Benvolio and
Romeo can come because they helped the servant read the list.

1.2 Romeo decide to go because Rosaline is going also; Benvolio wants him to go
because he wants Romeo to find another girl.

1.3 Nurse brings out the path of Juliet, made jokes about it and brings out Juliets
age.

1.3 Lady Capulet tries to convince Juliet to marry to Count Paris, Juliet does not
really want to.

1.4 Mercutio took Benvolio and Romeo to the party, he convinces Romeo to dance
and to find another woman.

1.4 Romeo said he had a dream, Mercutio made up Queen Mab to tell him that
dreams are lies, and Mercutio becomes aggressive.

1.5 Romeo arrived to the party, and suddenly fell in love with Juliet the first sight.
