Reminders
Please pay your fees to the Support Committee (ask your Section Commander
about forms). It is $30 per term, or $100 for the year if paid at once. It is
imperative that fees are paid at the beginning of the year to the Support
Committee so that we can keep a comparatively low annual fee and continue to
have an accessible unit, compared to the other units who are rising their fees.

Parent Support Committee

We meet on the first Wednesday of every month at the Portland Public House
on 463 New North Road, 1845 hrs (6.45 pm) to 2000 hrs (8.00 pm).
All parents/guardians will be warmly welcomed and are encouraged to attend.
The Support Committee is essential to the running of the unit, and without it we
cannot function. Further information will be updated on the CACU Facebook page
and website.
Facebook Group and Website
Are you IT savvy?? We are in need of a volunteer who can update and keep our
website functional. If you, or you know anyone who would be able to fill this role
please contact the Unit Commander LT Pip Duncan on 0275713848
All cadets and parents are encouraged to join our Facebook group, CACU: City of
Auckland Cadet Unit INTERNAL, which has up to date information about weekly
parade nights, weekend activities and unit responsibilities. The website also has
information on the Parent Support Committee, activities, photographs and
contact details for unit Support Committee members and unit staff.
Extra information
We are currently requiting new cadets. We are now fortunate to have Auckland
Army Centre as our new home. This means we can now expand our unit to 50+
cadets. We encourage everyone to pass the message onto anyone who is
interested. For people who are doing the DoE at school Cadets is a great way to
sign off tasks.
