Basic tasks

Developing and reviewing piping and


instrumentation drawings (PID) and process flow
diagram (PFD).
Reviewing existing data and verifying vendor
document to check compliance with design and
code requirement.
Collecting and validating process data.
Analyzing new projects design documents to
identify and evaluate initiatives to improve the
design.
Performing material and heat balances as well as
process simulation (on excel or hysys) to ensure
feasibility of identified initiatives and retrofits.
Providing and reviewing process equipment
specifications by coordinating with vendors for
proper sizing and cost estimates.
Reviewing contract specifications and requesting
process design information if necessary.
Developing line sizes and hydraulic calculations
such as pressure drop and pumps' NPSH.
Reviewing processes operating manuals and
commissioning plans.

Basic tasks
Oversee, read, and maintain the equipment that
controls the temperature and flow of product in a
petroleum refinery.
Read and analyze specifications, schedules, logs,
and test results to determine changes to
equipment controls required to produce specified
product.
Repairs, lubricates, and maintains equipment or
reports malfunctioning equipment to supervisor to
schedule needed repairs.
Compiles and records operating data, instrument
readings, documents, and results of laboratory
analyses.
Cleans interior of processing units by circulating
chemicals and solvents within unit.
Works outside in the plant and is in constant
communication with the Panel Operator and Lead
Operator directly and/or by radio in field
operations such as making manual adjustments to
Valves and equipment etc.
Observe local instruments, gauges, and meters to
verify conformance to standard operating practice
Collect samples of various streams and delivers
them to the laboratory.
Start and stop pumps, compressors and other
equipment based on the instructions of the panel
operator.
Responsible for preparing equipment for
maintenance including isolation, draining,
steaming, and other procedures as required.
Responsible for preparation such as plant isolation
etc., for day-to-day maintenance work.
Perform daily check and minor maintenance based
on the check list etc.
Take appropriate actions in accordance with Panel
Operator and Lead Operator in case of emergency.
Perform the usual commissioning task such as leak
and hydro tests, line purging and lining up utility
and process lines ready for service.
Skills
Process engineer, refinery, petrochemicals'
experience, troubleshooting.
Process simulation using aspen hysys V8.6,
energy and material balance.
Excellent knowledge with Visio and Microsoft
office.
Fluent English speaking and writing.
Responsible, Hard worker, Ability to work in a
