Circuit Introduction

Receiver
Signals from an antenna pass through TX/RX transformer , are amplified at BF1212 amplifier; then
processed by 1846S and output the audio signals ,again amplified by UTC2822M ,finally goes out
speaker .

6
Figure 1. Receiving Circuit

Transmitter
Signals from microphone are processed by 1846s modulation and come with carrier wave . With
buffering and promoting on Q203 ,Q202 ,the modulated signals are amplified at Q201 and goes
to antenna .

Figure 2. Transmitting Circuit

Transmitting/Receiving Switch Circuit

The transmitting signals pass through TX/RX transformer and low-pass filter . Filtered signals are
sent to antenna .The TX/RX transformer is consist of D201,D202,D101 and D102 diode.
With diodes features in single electrical conduction ,it can realize the exchange between TX and
RX at the time of connecting transmitting and stopping receiving .
Digital Control Circuit
1 PTT and Side-key Circuit
Signals from PTT and side-key go to microprocessor directly.
2 Restorer
Once connecting power successfully , a positive pulse comes from restorer which is
consist of C703 and R703 ,and will go to the reset terminal of micro-processor U701
7th pin

8
( 3 ) Battery Voltage Check Circuit
The supply voltage will go to analog port of micro-processor after it being devided.

( 4 ) Battery Save Circuit

In receiving and squelch off state , if there is no operation within 5 seconds ,radio battery save
circuit will be active and controlled by micro-processor.

1846S IC Introduction

Dismantle and Re-install

Dismantle the battery pack
To install the battery into the battery positioning hole of radio bottom, then press the
battery, make the button completely to lock battery. To remove the battery, please turn off
the radio, and then push up the battery button of radio top , finally take off the battery.

Dismantle the radio body ( Aluminum bottom case and PCB parts)
1,Dismantle the radio antenna.
2,Dismantle the belt clip parts: take off the battery first ,then two screws with cross screwdriver
.now can take off the belt clip parts .( See Figure 8)
Note: Should take off the battery before belt clip.

10
3,Take off the volume rotator. See Figure 9
4,Take off the antenna nut and volume switch nut with specific tools. See Figure 9
5,Take off two screws on the radio bottom by inner six angle screwdriver . See Figure 9

6.Turn radio body battery face down , knock the bottom on the cushion back and forth several
times .(See Figure 10) .Then aluminum case will part from mechanical case and raise it to pull out
the radio body.

7 See below after dismantling.( See Figure 12)

11
Installing Belt Clip
Take off the battery first ,attach the belt clip to the back of battery with the screws
supplied by cross screwdriver. ( See Figure 13)

Installing the Battery Pack

To install the battery into the battery positioning hole of radio bottom, then press the battery ,
make the button completely to lock battery until to hear Kada sound.( See Figure 14)
