Introduction

Using computer in this generation has become a way of life. Evidences can be

found in many countries. Most of people use this modern technology. Schools such as

universities are mostly announcing and give updates about upcoming events or other

important happenings and information personally. We all know that using computer and

internet will make it all easier when it comes to announcing and giving updates. Many

employee and students claimed that announcing personally is giving them a hard time

and sometimes a waste of money. Especially when class suspensions are to be announced

as you arrived the school.

MAVC or Malasiqui Agno Valley College is a school that started in 1936. They

offer Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Secondary

(High School), Elementary and Pre School. With a vision: The Malasiqui Agno Valley

College envisions to become a value-ladened institution of learning and a hallmark of

global competence, wisdom and selfless-service to God and to the community. And

mission: The Malasiqui Agno Valley College shall provide academic excellence,

professional training, technological and skills development with transformative values

through total quality education. They also have their GOALS and OBJECTIVES:

1. Provide leadership role in total quality education through curriculum enrichment,

human resource development and values orientation.

2. Provide wide opportunities to acquire total quality education to poor yet deserving
talented students.

3. Open and offer related degree programs that will cater to the demands of the market

and labor and the changing needs/ requirements of the economy.

4. Conduct evaluation of its programs, projects and activities and its management

structure and processes for more efficient and effective management.

5. Provide experiential activities for the internalization and development of moral,

spiritual and Filipino cultural values to attain the highest degree of integrity and dignity

of man.

With this study and research my group hopes to develop a website which will help the

students and employees save some money, time and energy. With this system we want to

help students reduce their expenses for fare just to go in school to know updates and

announcements. Knowing that money isnt that easily earned. A system thats user

friendly, easy to use and you can easily access.

Background of the Project

Almost everyone in this world wants to have a good quality of education. The

only reason why parent sacrifices everything just to give their childrens a quality

education. Many people are enrolled in universities to accomplish their dream and have a

stable work for their future. Nowadays jobs are harder to find if you are not a college

graduate applicant. Anyway with this large number of students enrolled in a university.

Staffs are having a hard time in announcing and giving updates personally. Students

health are in danger when there is a not so good weather because, if there is no class.
They still need to go in the school to wait for the announcement if its not mentioned in

the news. We want these things to be solved using internet and this school website.

Statement of the Objectives

General Objective:

The general objective of this study and research is to design and develop an

school website that will serve as a proposal to help school staffs to give updates easily

and quick. To help employees and students save energy, time and money expenses

because even if they are at home they will already be able to know announcements from

the school.

Specific Objective

To make use of internet in giving important updates.

To make all announcements computerized.
To allow staffs use the modern way of spreading news using internet.
To lessen the number of students who goes to school even if they dont

have a class.
To help the school in promoting by showing via internet how good the

school in organizing programs and events also by showcasing their board

exam top passers.

To help reduce the times wasted in calling a meeting for spreading all

announcements.
To help the school show that they can also compete with the big schools

who have their webpage.

To help parents saving money that they give to their childrens.;
 school can save money on printing, toner, photocopies and sending

physical letters to parents and students.

Through an effective school website, parents, alumni, and other visitors

could access salient information about the school from anywhere, anytime,

even beyond office hours, as long as there is an internet connection.

The morale of the teachers, students, and school administrators can be

raised through the immediate feedback/ comments visitors could leave.

Statement of the Problem

The system aims to answer the following:

1. Is there an upcoming school event?

a. where?

b. when?

2. Will the classes be suspended?

3. When is the Enrollment?

-Requirements

4. What are the courses offered?

Scope and Limitations

This is study is generally directed towads the design, development and improving

the way of school giving those very important announcements.

 In this system we propose you. It will require you to have an internet connection

to access the website or webpage. This will make announcements computerized and

online. But this system will no longer can be used in the organizations business

transactions. Since the only scope of this systems function is to post online all the

important announcements and also those upcoming events of the school. You can also

post some news in this system.

Significance of the Study

Socio-economic Significance- in this study, the proposed system will encourage other

students and aspiring programmers develop a more efficient and effective system.

Technological Significance- the proposed system will introduce technology to the

schools who are adapting giving announcements manually.

The study will be beneficial to the following:

University/School- It will help the school have a good feedback and it could also help

them in promoting their school.

Employees-it will help them by saving their time by just posting important informations

instead of calling a meeting or announcing it personally.

Students- It will help students save time and money by not going to school just to ask

and wait for those important updates.

Future Enrolees-its now easier for them because if the staff will post if there is an

enrollment or when will there be they dont need to go directly in the school and ask

directly.

Aspiring Applicants- they can now be updated if the school is hiring some positions.

Parents- generally money of students are coming from their parents so if the student will

be able to save money. Then their parents will also be helped.

Definitionof Terms

Website- a location connected to the Internet that maintains one or more pages on the

World Wide Web.

School Website- is any website built, designed, and maintained by or for aschool.

Many school websites share certain characteristics, and some educators have developed

guidelines to help schools create the best and most useful websites they can.

Quality education- is one that provides all learners with capabilities they require to

become economically productive, develop sustainable livelihoods, contribute to peaceful

and democratic societies and enhance individual well-being.

Announcements- a public and typically formal statement about a fact, occurrence, or

intention.

Technology- is the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially

in industry.
System- is a set of connected things or parts forming a complex whole, in particular.

Research- is a systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order

to establish facts and reach new conclusions.
