The communication strategy for the effective development and
implementation of 3D prosthesis is a complex multistep process. Within the project, a variety of different fields intermingle and require proper communication for the project to succeed. The primary groupings will be: the manufacturing division, the communications team, the software development team, and any hospital workforce with which the corporation wishes to conduct business with. Each team relies on each other in order for the process to function appropriately. The software development team prepare the prosthesis models and create improvements upon the existing design, but they require the manufacturing team to produce the product and the communications department to market it. This works vice-versa with the manufacturing relying on the software team for a design to produce, and the communications need both of the other teams in order to have a product to sell. Finally, the communications department is the outreach group to the various hospitals and medical centers which wish to produce the prosthesis for their patients. This is an integral interface, because the hospitals can ask the communications department to send in the manufacturing team to set up 3D printers at the hospital to produce the prosthesis, and help provide insight to the software development team for special needs for the prosthesis designed. Each of these groups must interact in an appropriate manner to ensure the product is of high quality and made in a timely manner. 2. For the product to be successful, it requires a Strategic planning task force. Within this task force, there should be one representative for each of the major three divisions, as well as a representative from the hospital in which the corporation is conducting business. This team will focus on meeting the needs of the patients at the hospital and conduct regular meetings to ensure the communications between departments is proper and that the project is being completed in an efficient manner. Additionally, a leader of this task force will be assigned that does not work within one of the three major divisions. This leader will most likely be the CEO himself, or of a similarly ranked management position, which will conduct direct communications with the head of each hospital with which the corporation conducts business. This leader ensures that the team meetings are effective, and that no one team becomes more powerful within the process than any other does. This team will ensure that the project is successful, and will address any major problems that the corporation faces while implementation occurs. 3. The plan for this projects future expansion and growth includes three major components. The first is nation-wide implementation. This would ensure our product is available to our entire customer base across the United States, and provides maximum revenue. The second component for future expansion of this project would be the improvement upon pre-existing model for the prosthesis. Without the continuous improvement of the prosthesis, it would quickly become obsolete with future innovations. The last major component for future success includes the improvement upon the manufacturing of the process. As the models for the prosthesis improve, it is imperative that the 3D printers that manufacture the product are at maximum functioning capacity, and can create the highest quality product for patients. This is the future vision for the project, which ensures its continued success and use. 4. Project Motia is a group of engineers and medical personnel, whom focuses upon the development and production of prosthesis through 3D printing at Hospitals across the Country, in order to provide cheaper, functional prosthesis for amputees. 5. Project Motia has a strong set of values in which all operations are completed. These values are: a. Ensure all products are of the highest quality. b. Treat each member of the project as equals. c. Treat all customers with the highest level of respect. d. Handle all conflicts with a clear, sophisticated mindset. e. Approach each problem with the most adequate solution. These Values provide a solid base for all management to conduct the project. 6. Project Motia has a variety of goals that it attempts to achieve. These goals are: a. Produce the highest quality product. b. Give amputees a cheap and high quality prosthesis. c. Spread the project across the nation. d. Improve the quality of living for all patients. The project seeks to achieve these goals in the most efficient and successful manner. 7. Project Motia has some specific Objectives in which it works to complete in the near future. These objectives are: a. Contact nearby hospitals in which to establish the first Project Motia center to begin prosthesis production within the next 4 months. b. Install the first Project Motia center inside a hospital within the next 5 months. c. Sell the first complete prosthesis within the next 6 months. 8. Project Motia has established several relevant tasks in which are necessary to succeed. These tasks are: a. Obtain a loan to establish the corporation and purchase a 3D printer within the month. b. Obtain a 3D modeling software and begin testing and modeling to different designs for the product within the next 2 months. c. 3D print and produce the first functional prosthesis of the corporation within the next 3 months. d. Contact nearby hospitals in which to establish the first Project Motia center to begin prosthesis production within the next 4 months. 9. The Implementation Strategy includes three groups working in cohesion. These three groups have heads which meet in annual meetings to ensure the project continues forward smoothly. These three groups are the: communications division, which contacts possible customers and hospitals; the manufacturing division, this group focuses on ensuring hospitals have all the required machinery for production of prosthesis; and the last group is the software and design division, which is the forward moving force of the project by constantly re-designing and improving the prosthesis design. These groups will work together to tackle any problems and ensure the success of the program. 10.As the Strategic Plan is implemented, it is necessary that the three divisions continue to work in a cooperative manner and that no one group gains more authority over the others. To ensure this does not happen, a head of the project will exist. This head will be the CEO of the corporation or a similarly ranked representative. This project head would attend all major meetings between the three departments and conduct constant inspections of each divisions work to ensure the tasks are being completed properly and efficiently. Through this inspection method, the project will be certain that the project will meet all criteria, and if necessary, re-orient the program and retool it to ensure all elements of the project are on track. This will ensure the strategic plan is well monitored, and does not get derailed as it continues forward in business.
