ARTS AFFECT
Art is a highly influential concept for lots of people.
Personally art has helped me a lot throughout my life, it
is my escape. For many people art is the way they
communicate, there are so many influential people that
are artists, Frida Kahlo, Van Gogh , Picasso,
Michelangelo, da Vinci. All of these people had
something they wanted to say whether influential or not
art was the way they told people. And it does not even
have to be the typical art, anything that can be
expression through creating, anything, can be art.

"Frida Kahlo, was a Mexican self-portrait artist and is still admired as a

feminist icon."(bio)"Picasso's ability to produce works in a range of styles
made him well respected during his own life."(bio) "Van Gogh was a post-
impressionist painter whose work highly influenced 20th
century art."(bio) "Michelangelo became an apprentice to
a painter before studying sculpture and is widely regarded
as the most famous artist of the Italian Renaissance."(Bio.)
"Leonardo da Vincis ideas and work- some of which are
"The Last Supper" and "Mona Lisa"- have influenced
countless artists."(bio)

Then you Get into the less common art forms that don't
get through of as often. The urban street art, more
commonly know as grati. And even less thought of and considered art is

Tattoos and tattoo design. Both of these art forms are underestimated, under
appreciated, and misjudged as irresponsible, inappropriate, and unintelligent.
But why should people judge what someone puts on there person, why should
someone judge what is said through grati?

Urban street art is not alway commonly thought of as

anything but the sometimes rude/crude opinions
spray painted to the side of an abandoned building,
more often than not is is something
beautiful, , and others it is used as a
form of communication because people
don't listen, it is used to show the good
and the fun that can be made out of
something that was once just there and
is turned into something that people
like, enjoy seeing, take pictures of and
with it.

What about Tattoos? They can have so

many dierent meanings to people,
maybe to you it is stupid, why would
anyone do that When you tell
someone that they should not do that
full sleeve of skulls, and flames
because to you it is just a bunch of
meaningless ink in your skin that is
going to get deformed when they are
older, you see it and think what is wrong with them? Why

would he tattoo nine skulls on his arm? But to him it represent everyone that
means something to him, it represents his family, his kids, his parents, and it
just might remind him every day why he needs to work so hard, why he works
so much, when he just wants to quit and go home, he looks at his arm and is
reminded why, because he has a family depending on him, because he wants
his kids to look at him and not see a failure but a man who was there for them
when they needed him to be. To see a man who gave his family every thing
that was possible for him to, that his little girl knows what it is like to have her
dad there for her and his son to look up at the way his dad is with his family
and want to have something like that some day.
