Created an evaluation plan for REACH program: Determined the overall purpose of REACH,
generated four broad questions that will be addressed by the evaluation, identified key
stakeholders and major conceptual factors.
Designed a logic model for evaluation that addresses the activities, outputs, short-term outcomes,
and long-term outcomes expected of the REACH program.
Identified specific evaluation questions, variables to be measured through evaluation,
instrumentations used, and the data collection plan.
Created a detailed budget of $20,000 using NIH formatting and developed a logical timeline for the
evaluation process of the REACH program.

Health Disparity Research Project Coordinator, Greenville, NC
Disparities of Teen Pregnancy Latinas in Eastern North Carolina, August 2014 to December 2014
Conducted primary and secondary research on unplanned pregnancies among teen Latinas in
Eastern North Carolina.
Conducted interviews with a key informant of Association of Mexicans in North Carolina, Inc.
(AMEXCAN) to gain information about the risk factors associated with teen pregnancies.
Determined that major barriers for preventing unplanned pregnancies among teen Latinas in
eastern NC include lack of education, family and religious influences, and policy.
Created a suggested strategy to address the health disparity; Includes sexual health education,
informational seminars for parents, and improving access to healthcare and prevention services.
