SPORTS COMPETITION GUIDELINES

VOLLEYBALL

DYNAMICS

1. This competition is open to all female YFC members. Each Cluster should have one entry
for this competition. (The official list should be signed by the YFC Over-all Sector Couple
Coordinator to assure that they are certified YFC members).
2. All teams are required to submit their confirmed players on or before July 18, 2010.
3. There will be a maximum of 12 players per team. Kindly assign one (1) Couple Coordinator
from your area to act as Representative of the team.
4. The players are required to bring a photocopy of their birth certificate. NO PROOF OF BIRTH
DATE, NO PLAY
5. Only players listed on the official line-up will be allowed to play.
6. All teams are required to be at the opening ceremonies with their team banners and in
uniform; otherwise, they will be disqualified.
7. On the game proper, only the players, coach and one representative are allowed to stay on
the bench in order for the game to start.
8. The new international rules will be used with the exception of the number of sets and the use
of LIBERO.
9. Rally point scoring system will be used (1-25) on a best of 3 sets format.
10. Each player’s number must be clearly indicated in the uniform (i.e. 1-18 only)
11. All players must be in sports attire.
12. If a team is not in the playing court on their time schedule, NO DEFAULT WILL BE
APPLIED. ONE (1) POINT PER MINUTE WILL BE DEDUCTED ON THEIR FINAL SCORE.
13. Knockout system will be applied
14. Any form of complain or untoward incident should be coursed through the designated
Representative to the YFC VOLLEYBALL COMMITTEE

BASKETBALL
(SENIOR & JUNIOR DIVISION)

DYNAMICS
1. This competition is open to all male YFC members. Each CLUSTER should have one entry
for this competition. (The official list should be signed by the YFC Over-all Sector Couple
Coordinator to assure that they are certified YFC members).
2. All teams are required to submit their confirmed players on or before July 18, 2010.
3. There will be a maximum of 15 players per team (brothers). Kindly assign one (1) Couple
Coordinator from your area to act as Representative of the team.
4. The players are required to bring a photocopy of their birth certificate. NO PROOF OF BIRTH
DATE, NO PLAY.
5. Only players listed on the official line-up will be allowed to play.
6. All teams are required to be at the opening ceremonies in their sports attire if not in their
uniforms, otherwise they will be disqualified.
7. On the game proper only the players, coach and one representative are allowed to stay on the
bench in order for the game to start.
8. The collegiate amateur rules will be used.
9. The 1st half of the game will use a 15-minute running time format. The time clock will be
stopped only during free throws and time-outs. The 2nd half will also have 15 minutes but only
the first 10 minutes will use the running time format, the last 5 minutes will be played on a stop
time format.
10. In case of overtime, a 5-minute extension will be played on stop-time format.
11. To avoid delays of schedule of the sports competition committee, we will set a synchronize
time during the opening ceremonies.
12. If a team is not in the playing court on their time schedule, NO DEFAULT WILL BE
APPLIED. ONE (1) POINT PER MINUTE WILL BE DEDUCTED ON THEIR FINAL SCORE.
13. Knockout system will be applied.
14. Any form of complain or untoward incident should be coursed through the designated
Representative to the YFC BASKETBALL COMMITTEE (composed of the ILC Head of
Competitions for Basketball, and the officials of the competition), after which if unresolved will
be forwarded to MON MAGTOTO (head of YFC ILC COMPETITIONS).

BADMINTON

DYNAMICS

1. Each Cluster should have one entry per event. (The official list should be signed by the
YFC Over-all Sector Couple Coordinator to assure that they are certified YFC members).
Singles (1 YFC sister)
Singles (1 YFC brother)
Mixed doubles (1 YFC brother and 1 YFC Coordinator “TITA” or 1 YFC sister and 1 YFC
Coordinator “TITO”)
2. All teams are required to submit their confirmed players on or before July 18, 2010.
3. Kindly assign one (1) Couple Coordinator from your area to act as Representative of the team.
4. All teams are required to be at the opening ceremonies in their uniforms otherwise they will be
disqualified.
5. All players are required to wear proper attire while playing,
6. Each participant must bring her own badminton racket. No borrowing of rackets will be
allowed. NO BADMINTON RACKET, NO PLAY.
7. Knock out system will be applied (losing one game will mean elimination from the tournament).
8. If the player/s is/are not in the playing court on their time schedule, NO DEFAULT WILL
BE APPLIED. ONE (1) POINT PER MINUTE WILL BE DEDUCTED ON THEIR FINAL
SCORE.
9. 2 winning sets are needed to claim victory. A 3rd set will only be played in the event of a tie.
10. The New International Rules (IBA) will be applied.
11. Game matches will be pre-drawn.
12. Any form of complain or untoward incident should be coursed through the designated
Representative to the YFC BADMINTON COMMITTEE

REMINDERS:

1. All possible contact numbers are highly needed upon deadline of confirmation for
competitions on July 18, 2010. Further updates may be coursed through the contacts
available for your entry.
2. On the day of the event, upon site arrival, ALL COMPETITION ENTRIES need to
confirm their entry IMMEDIATELY at the secretariat area, through their entry
representative. NO CONFIRMATION, NO PLAY.
3. NO Proof of birth date, NO play. Please present all documents upon confirmation.
4. Information such as competition venue, order and time of competition and area of
oath taking will be provided at the confirmation table.
5. All teams are required to be at the opening ceremonies with their team banners and
in uniform; otherwise, they will be disqualified.
