Dear Sir

Request: For Appeal of Admission

I am writing this appeal letter because I feel that I am qualified for

admission into the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme in any approved
local universities

2. My relatively low 3.40 CGPA for my diploma was the reason I was
unqualified to do degree in Pharmacy which requires a minimum 3.5. My
application was rejected by the recognized local universities since I was
told that the Malaysia Board of Pharmacy controls the admission of the
future pharmacy students.

3. Previously, I obtained 9As in SPM which I got A+ for English, Chemistry,

Biology, Mathematics and Additional Mathematics which I understand the
crucial subjects in pharmacy studies. My involvement to the school I was
in, as the head prefect, is quite deep. I believe that doing well in school
will mentally get me prepared for college.

4. The course work during my diploma study which includes making

videos, brochures and pamphlets, sharpens my creativity and critical-
thinking skills which could be very useful to the faculty and pharmacy
department. My group and I was humbly praised by lecturers and other
students for making quality work (end product) which then help us getting
good marks for assignments.

5. I was elected as the President for the Society of Pharmacy in UiTM

Penang. I supervised and manage the committees of the clubs when
handling events and functions. I am honoured to carry the responsibility
as well as commitment to the faculty as I see it as an oppoturnity to learn
more about leadership which can be helpful in the future.

6. During my ten months of practical (internship), I have observed the

pharmacists in action; their works, responsibilities and how crucial their
part in the hospital. I was able to exchange experience with some of the
pharmacists there and it did inspired me to be more serious in my study
and they rekindled my passion to become a successful pharmacist.

7. I am now a mature returning student and know exactly what I would like
to achieve through my academic studies. I realise that I have to figure out
my priorities to get the best out of my time. I am confident that my future
involvement in the faculty can help improve our reputation as well as
removing the stigma of medical-related students.

I would like to encourage you to consider my case entirely and see

that my result from my previous diploma is not the true reflective of my
capability to excel academically. I will be very grateful if you approve my
admission to study in degree of pharmacy.
